My Battle Pet KoroKan is currently around 7700 points beneath the Stat Cap, sooner or later I will hit it.

What's the best strategy to spend those last points?

  1. What actually happens at Stat Cap? Will I "only" loose EXP-Training or also Riverside Training Center?

  2. I know, there are some weapons that tier with speed. But is there a point to increase speed past a certain level?

  3. Which Stats should I train now? Should I distribute the points evenly on all of them or just head for strenght/health?

  4. Does improving my stats after hitting the Cap affect battling (except for Health of course)?

  1. once you hit the stat cap, your pet will no longer gain exp from beating opponents and cannot gain anymore stats from other areas like the training center or job agency. Only Intel and level can continue for increase past the hard cap

  2. speed determines whether or not an opponent can crit hit you and how often you crit hit your opponent. An opponent will never crit hit you if your speed is higher than theirs. There is a small chance you can crit hit your opponent without the use of crit strike crystals when your speed is lower than an opponent's speed, but it is much more likely to occur when your speed is higher.

  3. there really is no wrong way to train your pet unless you do something wasteful like dump 20k stats into speed. Something to consider is that you will never block your opponent's attack 100% of the time in 100% of battles. Increasing strength and speed will help you end battles faster. Increasing defense will keep you better protected from icons you are defending. Increasing health gives you a bigger buffer to absorb blows for icons you can't defend. Stats are a balancing act between your weapons and scrolls and ability to adapt to different opponents. Typically, pets with higher health last longer or have an easier time with opponents than pets with evenly trained health because of the fact that enemy damage will get through your defenses. By the time you reach the stat cap however, you will have enough stats to be able to fight any opponent. How well you do just depends on weapon set and your strategies.

  4. you can't go past the hard cap of 35k core stats. The only things you can increase then is level (no point to this) and Intel. You can equip more scrolls to help you with higher AP. If instead you don't like your stat spread and want to change it, you can buy leeches in the battle shop to take away stats and redistribute. As long as you are not at the stat cap, your pet will gain exp and can use boosters. It does not matter if they have hit the cap before, they just won't be able to gain exp or use boosters while actually at the cap.

Thanks a lot for your detailed answer.

So stat booster items also don't work after stat cap?

Correct. Once you reach the hard cap, the only stats you can gain are level and intel. If you use something like a tome, you will get 1-3 stats of level and intel, but 0 of everything else
