I'm a returning player and have 2 questions.

Edit: Changing her with the potion DID work fantasticly. If my current design won't work out for an overlay, I'll just tweak it until it does I guess :D 1. I'd like to turn my Pet Uschy into an Experiment 625. Best way to proceed? From what I can gather from the wiki there are 3 ways to do it: Zap Ray, Miracle Potion II and Experimental Dew. As I understand it, the Miracle Potion II will change the species - but does it do so randomly or do I get to choose? Could I turn Uschy into a Chibi or Scribble and then make her the Exp. 625 by choice? Or, should I rather just grab some Dews and cross my fingers for getting the desired change? So far the Dew seems a bit cheaper than the guaranteed Zap (if I'm even able to use that already)

2. Regarding Pet Overlays How far off from the original Pet can overlays be? I'd like to enter a slightly tweaked version of the picture below. Primarily thinking to add the Skull of 625 and change the tail to fit as well adjusting the coloring. The 625 was the closest I could find that remotely fits her + I like it a lot, do you think it'd check out despite adding legs?

The Miracle Potions are not random

I've definitely seen some custom overlays that didn't look a whole lot like the original pet, so I think you'd probably be fine as long as it fits the other overlay rules, which you can find listed here: https://subeta.net/pets_custom.php#/upload

And I think probably zapping or using the Experimental Dew would probably be the best way to go, the miracle potion is pretty expensive.

Depending on how long you have been on the site 2 yrs plus can get you Loyalty Boxes which you can either choose a totem to change pet species or color

Thanks! Yeah I do have some of these Loyalty boxes, but judging from the wording they only change color, not species.

Thanks! Yeah I did see they're rather expensive, but I still have 1,3k CSC leftover from whatever, so I'd only need 700 more for the potion and therefore I'm debating whether it makes more sense to try my luck or just get it guaranteed.

For the overlay, I'm also unsure about how close your pet should be, but really that is a bit up to your own interpretation about whether it's close or not.

How about a Sheeta though? Field or Graveyard? :)

As for zapping vs using the potion. It's 20k CSC, which is 132m sp. Depends on how patient you are with the zapper. :P I admit I haven't use it in a while to zap for a specific experiment so I'm not sure.

Also, what? o_o The potion is available for me in the cash shop (and even for 1000 CSC, not 2k). I didn't try buying it yet, but it is listed at that price. Am I missing something here? xD

Edit: Jumped ahead and grabbed the potion from the Cash Shop and it worked out swimmingly!

If the overlay conforms to all the rules you should be fine. The only thing you can't change is how the pets colours and species appears on their page.
