Ah, thanks! Yeah I try to read site rules and all that jazz first at the very least, and then I learned about the custom overlays and then there was more FAQ and Forum rules and... xD

And thanks for the HA outfit compliment! ;o; I tried to go for a bit of a comfy Swamp Witch™ look with what I had available. :'D

Ooh I was definitely too "noob" to work on custom overlays, I did basic things like getting them the right species or look I wanted, and choosing names and maybe putting in a few items in their treasure (I definitely changed my mind about the items later, since we have SO many items on here)

Personally I found it less over-whelming to just do some trial and error, I think the basics of being polite/kind, and not making multiple accounts (we're only allowed a single one here) are the basics. I think our core site rules aren't too plentiful or difficult to digest. If you're unsure about something that would be outside the realms of regular site play (eg. you want to sell things for USD, or want to promote something) you can always ask, if no one can direct you to an answer, our ticket system would answer for you :)

The forum rules are generally to help keep the forums tidy. For example, if I had to move a thread because it was in the wrong sub-category, it wouldn't be a warning - Generally speaking, as long as you're not being malicious/profane, etc. you're not going to have major problems. So you don't have to be too bogged down and be afraid to talk or anything like that. The community here is pretty friendly, so we're all pretty happy to help guide you in the right direction c:

I think that going on hiatus is a natural part of being on Subeta... in my experience, anyway. There is definitely a lot and it can be overwhelming. My recommendation is to find the pages you want to return to, especially when it comes to making money, and bookmarking them. I don't touch pets, battling, quests, or the deeper parts of the forum, but I do check the adoption centre a lot, and play Caliph's Tomb, feed and read to Gylfmeister, and visit Pina Park. Just small things that I find worth in. :)

I get what you mean, there's a lot to do! I find it helpful to find one or two things that I like and focus on those. depending on what you like to do, you can get really immersed in it. I really like characters/art/css so I focus on pets usually! but i've been around long enough that i've explored a lot by this point lol. BUT 100% still focus on a few things because there really is just so much and I'm too busy xD If you ever need help figuring something out feel free to comment me :)

Yeah I feel like that'd be a good approach! Thanks you two~ I definitely want to get into the battle stuff, because one of my pet's characters is built around being a fighter, so I'll focus a lot on her and see where it leads me. Gotta get around and start working on her custom overlay soon.

nice! definitely look into auto training. It gets a bit pricey at the higher levels but well worth it when you first start out, you can get so much farther so much faster :) I'm not super into battling but I do try to keep up so I can do the battling events. and it's so easy to just keep training :) i have two battle pets, one is my main (level 615) and the other (level 235) I added years later for if i want to be able to battle more. There's so much you can do with the battling stuff, it's lots of fun! :D

Yeah I tested the waters a bit earlier with my Baby Stats and it's so cool that you can even turn EXP into stats?! And choose your prices, really cool!
