I have tried editing my shop settings several times this morning. Everything looks like it goes through just fine, but when I view my shop, my changes are not there. When I then return to "Shop Settings", all of the changes I had entered are gone.

Operating System: macOS Monterey - v. 12.3.1 Browser: Safari - v. 15.4

Have you tried on another browser? I was able to update mine just fine on Chrome.

- Thank you for getting back to me. I have tried to update my CW shop settings in both Firefox (v.100.0) and Google Chrome (v.101.04951.64) with the same result. I have also logged out of Subeta and logged back in, with no change.

Very weird. Can you tell me what you are trying to add or update? I will see what I can find out. Also try clearing your cache and cookies (for all time) and disabling any add ons you have on your browser. If you have a way to try another device, also try that (sorry just want to see if we can pinpoint where the issue is)

- I’m just trying to add anything. This last time I tried to add “test…”. I also tried on my phone this morning instead of my laptop again with the same result. When I get home this afternoon, I’ll clear the cache and cookies on my laptop and try again.

That is just strange. Keep me updated if the clearing helps. Also is this for the main description or category descriptions?

We may have figured out what the issue is. One staff member put a hashtag at the beginning of her description and it stopped letting her save after that.

Try creating a new category and then delete it. See if that helps. It allowed our staff member to edit again.

To find this workaround I actually broke my CW shop by adding a hashtag to the CW shop description (could either be from a forumgroup or a link with a hashtag), and this made it so I could no longer save. I'm only mentioning this so other users don't attempt this and accidentally break their shop as well.

** Before you do anything else, save all text or code to a notepad, so in the event you lose your description you have a backup.**

Then I went here: https://new.subeta.net/cws/shops/manage/settings If you are trying to change the main shop description, try using using the dropdown menu where it says "Default Category." Don't use --All Items--, try changing to a different category (preferably one you have not used before) and see if you can change and save your main description. If you can, great, if you cannot, create a new category. Select the new category and see if you can save your shop description under the new category. If you still cannot, delete the new category, create another category, select this category in the dropdown menu and try saving the main description again.

If you are having trouble saving a category description (not the main shop description), you may have to delete the category itself and recreate it. Try saving once you create the new category.

That's what worked for me when I tested. I can't guarantee that will work for you, but it doesn't hurt to try.
