So, I noticed the suggestion thread for new wrapping papers, and the mention of a Major Drills-themed wrapping paper brought up some ideas and some solutions to a few minor things I find irritating in relation to his quests.

First, there’s the whole “I’m doing MD quest, don’t mind me” sort of thing I feel obligated to add as a comment. I know that you aren’t obligated to say anything, so this one is more of a personal problem than a game issue, but it’d be nice to have some way to indicate right off the bat that the gift box is being sent because of an MD quest.

My other idea was to have an option for “Gift a Random User” included. I know that there will be some people who wouldn’t want to be randomly gifted out of the blue, which is fine—the solution to that, in my mind, is that it could be an opt-in sort of thing. Either on the account settings page or somewhere in the Gift Center itself, you could select to be one of the users that can be randomly gifted, anonymously or not.

It’d probably need to include an “Are You Sure?” prompt for both opting in and sending the gift box to a random user, but I think it’d be really helpful, and potentially fun outside of Major Drills quests!

I mean, gifting people spontaneously during the holiday season, or simply whenever, without having to worry whether or not they even want to receive something in the first place? It sounds like something I’d do on a semi-frequent basis.

As for the random gift thing, we already have something similar in the Presents thing. Now its not a random user, you need to enter a username and it isn't attached to Major Drills...but since the functionality is already there, I'm wondering if it could be modified to suit.

We also already have some gifting options - you can opt to only receive gifts from friends and such would, I assume, preclude people from any type of random gifting.

True, that the “Friends Only” option exists—briefly forgot about it, whoops—but you’re right that the function effectively exists, and it certainly could be adapted to suit, I think. That’s up to the staff to decide, though. And yeah, it’s really more the random user thing than anything else. Thanks for the link, though! ^u^
