I don't know if this has been suggested before, but when searching for CW cutout background/foregrounds in the CW/User shops, you can't see what they look like. Is there a way to make a base bg layer for these items? I don't know how you can program to tell if a CW is a cutout bg/fg or not, but it was an idea..... cuz you can't tell what they look like just how they are now when viewing them. Correct me if this wouldn't work. I may not be understanding of the whole picture.... It might involve having that bg layer on all CW's...... maybe a light grey, so that you can at least see a faint image of the cutout bg/fg?

You could always try the item on in the wardrobe? That's usually what I do - particularly if the foreground is a gentle sparkle or something like that.

Not just for CWs also for the regular items. Maybe change the background to black instead of white to allow the cutouts to be seen. There are some added for Neugarten that are hard to see.

going all the way to the Wardrobe and then searching for the item is a HUGE hassle.
