You should have gotten last month's item when you signed up, so if you keep your subscription next month, then you should get the when it renews c:

The branch is the April item, but monthly items are released partway through the month because that's when the current subscription system was released. You can't get the bonus item ahead of time from when it's released though, so since you signed up in April but before it was released, you should have gotten the Bloodstone Woodpecker that posted.

The monthly items are active for 30-ish days rather than the calendar month they're released during, if that's an easier way to think about it. You'll receive whatever monthly item is "active" at the time your subscription renews (and if you do somehow end up with a duplicate, you can file a ticket to have it switched)
