The internet's become easily riled up these days, but I think it's mostly stress from world events getting to them. It's the era of liberal block buttoning anyone whose vibes are bad, self care and all

Dervish: Its been bad for awhile, maybe its just spread to the more commonly used social medias but it feels like social medias have always been hostile. Thankfully we've never seen any of that on Subeta, but some petsites have the most vile playerbases.

It's like people are just trying to rile each other up. On FB Metaspoon keeps click-baiting with things like "People who are ultimate passive aggressors in revenge"/ "Best revenge stories" etc.

Like could we get some uplifting click-bait? Please?

For starters, algorithms on social media favour mindless discourse because it drives engagement and keeps people on the platform for longer, giving companies more data on users and a greater chance they'll click on an ad.

Also, some countries are deliberately influencing social media in other countries to further divide them.

Some people say the disconnect between real life and online life means people are more likely to say things to each other they'd never say face-to-face but uhhh... idk about that. Like, there's merit to that but I've also dealt with a lot of people irl who have no problem saying things to others' faces.

Most people are also extremely stressed because they aren't making enough money to live comfortably, rent is insane, cost of living has gone up by a lot and even before the pandemic started things were getting really bad. For anyone who has a brain there's also fears about climate change and mass extinction.

So... yeah. There's a ton of reasons people are more stressed and it's a combination of environmental factors (not even gonna get into people struggling with drugs, mental illness, etc.) and people being paid to cause more problems and exacerbate issues.

Just gonna say though: No, "end of days" stuff (that the world will inevitably end) isn't real. Our problems can be fixed if people are rational and of sound mind.

I made this whole post in a drunken, confused mood, but I still stand by it completely.

Iunno.. I've never been one to rip another down, nor will I ever be, unless in defense. It's just.. so bizarre how many people are eager to jump down another's throat for absolutely little to no reason. I suppose we are all stressed out, though.

I just wish good vibes were easier to send out. I do my best, buuuut I think it makes me appear weak/dumb (in some peoples' eyes'), but I really don't care.

I just think the world could use some good vibes, lately.

Yea I got rid of all my social media, there just too much hate and drama on that. And try not to watch too much news, its super depressing.

Everything said. I think people are stressed out and take out their anger on other internet folks because they forget there's another person at the end of that post. But I also think most people are mean so ¯(ツ)/¯
