i'm usually good about remembering to "right-click + open link in new tab" but sometimes i forget, probably because the "buy directly" button requires you to click it normally to get to the shop search link in the first place – or i might absentmindedly try to cmd/ctrl+click to open the link in a new tab, a functionality which i have to keep reminding myself does not work on links from the new site to the old site.
so of course what ends up happening is that i am immediately booted from the wardrobe onto the shop search page, losing all progress on my HA, with no way to undo this. as you can imagine, that's not good!
i can't think of a situation where someone, perusing the wardrobe, sees an item they might want to use on the HA they're working on, clicks the shop search link, and has no intention of staying in the wardrobe while they do so. it makes more sense to me that, if it's even remotely possible to implement, this link should always, by default, open in a new tab. alternatively, maybe at least a confirmation popup so you can back out if you make that mistake.
Agreed.
