In previous years of Survival, we were able to able to pull a link directly from the bite button and use that to bite people. I remember this distinctly because when Staff changed to button only, I had to change the link on a day's worth of backlog to go to the forum link instead.
This was fine when people could regularly access the forums. People can no longer regularly access the forums.
Biting is the only part of any event that can happen only on the forums. There is no BBcode that people can stick in their status or profile. If we can't access the forums, we can't bite.
I doubt you'll fix the authentication issues by Survival so give us another way to bite.
Whole heartedly agree. It seems that I can view one thread one time before I'm logged out of new subeta again. I've had to log in more than 5 times today after being online for an hour. I really don't want to have to log in 500+ times a day when survival starts because I'm trying to, yknow, load the thread more than once.
Yes please. There's no point in having Survival if we can't bite.
Full support!
For the most part I've been lucky enough to miss the re-logging in bug that has plagued others. I was only subjected to it for a few days at one point. I cannot imagine the sheer frustration at trying to be active in an event while that is going on.

I wanted to give a quick update to this!
A new Bite scode is not in the works, since we want to encourage forum interaction, BUT Keith did tweak the authentication settings to make that easier. Please let us know if you're still having issues, though, so he can adjust as needed. Thank you!

I have noticed for the past few days I think that I haven't been logged out as frequently as before. I've been having to log in at the beginning of the day and maybe once again somewhere in the middle, but it hasn't been every few hours like it was for a long while.
Thanks for continuing to work on it! (& thanks Keith)
