Qrykees, Yaherras, Blobs, and Bumbii will keep their color if you transform a pet via the zapper/Blobland/the Queen Bea quest in the Blue Building (again, only if those pets are available in the color your pet currently is). You can also change a pet's color with an elixir like but not every color is available in an elixir (and I think for the "special" colors that are available like Bloodred, not every pet is necessarily available either), so if you have (for example) a Dawn colored pet that you want to change, there should be an elixir available to turn it into a different Dawn colored pet, but if you want to change something like a Harvest pet, then you'll have to go through one of the other options OR buy a new potion once you've changed the pet's species

Wow ok that's a lot of info right there lol so.. for clarity.. i have a "Reborn" colored pet. i can use that miracle potion to change it to a different Reborn colored pet.

Yep, you could use the Miracle Potion II :) Unfortunately, Reborn isn't a color that comes in elixirs, so you'd otherwise have to either buy a new Reborn Potion after changing the pet with a different elixir (unless you happened to want one of the pets with a different transform option like the Blob)
