Out of context the Blake challenges must be really jarring lol. They came out like, one at a time so we weren’t bombarded with him back then but. I guess that’s not the case now huh.

Yesss omg so Blake Steele is an adventurer, he’s been in a few past events. Most notably Steele Excavations in 2011, which uncovered This Temple in Saherimos aka Sacred Lands. Here’s a list of all the items from that event, and here’s a list of the things we had to do (I only accomplished 4 of them haha RIP). That’s where Bhakorus come from! Here’s his Subetapedia page (found by Subeta tab > SubetaPedia > Neutral Characters, there’s loads of other characters’ pages too).

In 2020 he got bored and started searching for Subeta’s cryptids, Here’s the First News Post, and he came back every month looking for a new one. He had to dress the part, obviously, lol. He’s free to battle, you’ve just gotta unlock the different variations by exploring, and then they released cash shop challengers, the cryptid pets, each month too. Here’s the News Archives (found by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the news page) if ya wanna check them out, each entry has some cute character building. Every month in 2020 I believe has one.

Y’know how some characters, you love to hate? Well, Blake is the opposite—quite a few people hate that he’s so lovable 😅
