Like the monthly GA or subscriptions, perhaps battlers could subscribe to the monthly challenge in order to save some CSC? Or not get a discount, but get a bonus challenger or item?

I like this general concept. However it would have to be carefully thought out to provide a decent incentive, but not to unbalance battle too much. I love that Subeta is NOT pay to play (or pay to win). That for the most part any advantage gained through real money can be offset by spending more time onsite. So an advantage like cheaper monthly challengers would be fine, or making training a little faster or more efficient. Adding a completely new challenger I feel would cross the line. Items like boosters, or special potions that would get used up in battle would be fine, but a new weapon would not.

We were initially promised that there would be subscription plans aimed at people who don’t do CWs, like a gladiator’s plan or something. But, well…

There’s also the question of what it could offer besides either a CS challenger voucher or two depending on subscription level, or just the monthly challenger for free. CS challengers are waaaaaaay more limited in number than CWs, and monthly challengers are up in the air right now. Boosters? Autotraining vouchers?

One free challenger a month sounds fair, as long as its not exclusive to the pass.

Pet people have been clamoring for something to be added for subscriptions as well and we got nada.

Wasn't the mad scientist a bonus challenger if you bought all the files, but then you could purchase her separately?

- No, I meant like the challengers we already get, but at a discount if we sign up to pay for all of them. Sorry that wasn't clear.

well it seems like they're working on a battler-specific subscription... idk i think i would've preferred some kind of booster voucher over a subscription challenger but i guess we'll see what happens.

The occasional new challenger, like the evil scientist are fine because as a non-subscriber I can still buy those - I can choose to pay a little real money as a one-time thing, pay another user for CSC with sP (or trade items), or I can pay another user for the summoning item itself.

Getting a challenger through a battle focused subscription that is only available through monthly subscription is definitely stepping closer to pay-to-play, though. One, most of the people who will buy this subscription would be battlers who would want to battle the new opponent themselves, so the number of summoning items (if it were even to be done that way at all) would be very limited to purchase outside of the subscription. Two, the number of people who would subscribe to this would be limited in the first place, so even if some would be willing to sell it, there wouldn't be nearly as many as those who sell the regular subscription only items. Also the battle admins have been very, very clear about a strong desire to "preserve the value" of battle related items. To the point that they have deliberately restricted the availability of items and so forth. It would not surprise me if a subscription based challenger would be account locked, that the only way to get it would be through the subscription. To encourage non-battlers to pay through the nose for the loot drops - to preserve the value for the battlers.

I don't have anything to add about implementation, but I would love a battle option for subscriptions so much. I don't ever claim my vouchers since I don't really care for CWs that much. I would love to have a different option.

- I think my original message was not clear. This would be the current CS challengers offered at a discount for those who purchase "in bulk". You would also earn the bonus challenger for free with the subscription. All would still be available for single purchase, so not behind the subscription/mass buy paywall.

- The thing is, we already have monthly challengers. While a whole subscription for battlers would be great, I feel like it's a pretty easy implementation to make the current system have a subscription IN ADDITION to the current availability of CS challengers.

i had no comment on that, i just wanted to mention that they seem to have a "subscription-specific challenger" planned since this was a battle subscription suggestion and others mentioned monthly subscription challengers

- Ah sorry, my response was more to what they were doing rather than your comment.
