First and foremost, let me apologize that this comes a little late (at least it's still December, right?) -- home life got pretty hectic, pretty quickly (husband 's boss tested positive, husband's cousin tested positive, and a roommate tested positive for Covid). I've been attempting to thank everyone personally, and I still plan to (I can't even keep up with my profile comments, lol), but I wanted to get out an all-encompassing 'Thank You' to everyone before December was over.

This holiday season has been very, very, very rough for me. I moved 13 hours away from home (so we could be with my husband's family), and spent Thanksgiving sitting alone in a house all day. I cried and put myself to bed at like 2pm. Needless to say, as Christmas drew closer and closer, my anxiety grew and grew. I couldn't handle another holiday alone (although there really wasn't any reason for me to be alone - everywhere is closed on Christmas more or less), so I decided I would really throw myself in to Luminaire this year.

I was so overwhelmed with the generosity and love shown to me this Luminaire season. I truly can't thank you all enough, nor adequately express how genuinely grateful I am to all of you for saving me. That may sound a little dramatic, but it's the truth. I could feel my depression and anxiety taking hold of me again, and phone calls and text messages to family and friends back home can only go so far when I get in those mental states. Every gift, no matter how big or small, under my tree or through the gift center, anonymous or not, helped restore my mental health and my love for the holidays. Thank you all so, so much for taking the time out of your holiday season to show me love. It means the world to me.
