Quick, impactful, funny, nonsensical, fantastical.
Writing inspiration can be found everywhere.
I love a challenge. Do you? Build on a story above, or start a new one. There’s only one rule: it has to be one sentence.
Let’s make the world a little more Colourful!
Once upon a time... Ah who cares!
Viorans go through life, never really understanding what "home" is.
My universe in a nutshell.
"No thanks, I don't do cocaine," she said as the man laid out white lines on a hotel room mirror, "anymore."
Death stalks me; He trips on a tree root; clumsy Death.
As an expat that moves every 2 years, even amidst this dreadful pandemic, I understand the sentiment!
excellent!
I wonder what the pre-story is behind this. Where is she from? Why is she even in the hotel room?
But most of all, does this hotel have a hot tub?
This made me laugh out loud. I choked on my coffee!
Glad you enjoyed it. I was going for an Ernest Hemingway vibe!
: Eh, one sentence doesn't give much room for backstory. This one tries to fill in a little bit:
"It was a lovely crib, and an excellent Craigslist deal, but Jenny knew that two crisp twenties was hardly fair compensation for the mother's grief she saw in the seller's eyes."
I may also try to condense the whole book into a haiku, akin to a literary parody.
Long life, on the move. Then comes the hard choice to make Vioran, or them?
