I have been trying to update my CW shop thread, to alert my group about a new release. It failed to update, and after multiple tries I realized it was sending out pings each time...

The pings led back to the unedited post.

It sounds like a cache issue. If the pings were going out, that means the post did process as an update. The cache didn't update for you when you went to the post yet, so it appeared otherwise.

I'd normally suggest clearing your cache and reloading your browser to see if it updated.

I did do that at the time, it didn't help. However, things seem to be working now.
