I'm practicing making digital models.
I will make a model of a pet, maybe an avatar. If it isn't a custom pet, technically it will be directly from one of the base species unless differences are specified.
I'll make two for free at maximum at this time. I am working on several projects already; I have a short attention span and can't work on one thing for more than a few hours.
Completing one will most likely take a while.
Hello ! I'm really interested in this, however the website doesn't seem to work right now... I'd love to discuss with you about this 'cause I'm very curious – Will it be an .obj file? How did you learn modeling? Was it hard for you to get into it?
Yes, it will be an obj file. I have been unprofessionally modeling for at least four years, but only now have begun to take deeper interest. As it is a niche kind of art, learning how to use programs can be hard given each of the leading software names available are very different.
On that note, do not support Autodesk Maya, if the price somehow doesn't convince you not to. It is a dangerous money sink if you do not have a steady, larger income and are only interested in a single one of these: gaming, animation, modeling, video editing, 3D printing.
Blender is free, but is just as versatile as Maya if you can adjust to how steep the technical learning curve is.
Ooooh Im curious!!! Do you want human or animal models? Would Balthorion interest you? Hes a smilidon/snow leopard creature :D
Yes, he has references on his page, sorry im no good at links :( Hope he interests you!
Do you have any examples of some models you've made? like images so that we can see somewhat what we might get in? I don't have any pets currently that I want modeled, but if you're up to doing humans I can share a design that I'd love to have modeled.
