1000 posts in a thread can get eaten up quickly during holiday events, and I'm already dreading trying to coordinate re-posting my future events before the previous thread gets auto-locked for surpassing the post limit. I understand the limit was put into place to lessen the load on the site, but could an exception be made just for the seasonal forums since those are deleted at the end of the holiday?

I'm in the same boat. My biting group used 5 threads last Survival back when they were 5000 posts. We can't use forum groups because biting links are ONLY available on the Survival threads. People have no choice but to go the forums to get bitten. I would have to make 25 threads to get the same amount of posts and it's going to be a mess.

I understand that we can't have 5000 posts, but could we have 2500? Even 2000 is a lot better than 1000.
