CW Shop alerts not working

Sorry if this is a duplicate, but didn't see any threads specific to this. Sent out an alert yesterday and another as test today and they did not get sent out to shop followers. Using chrome. the one yesterday had items listed and the one today did not.
oh came here to post about it and saw I'm not the only one...
I just sent another 'test' one..said sent successfully but noting showing up. I am also using the latest version of Chrome.

Same problem here, I know a number of my friends are also experiencing the same issues.
Chrome 96.0.4664.45, using windows 10.
Also happening to me and the mobile work around doesn't work anymore.
Using firefox
Same as everyone here...using Chrome and says it sent but no alerts going out. Windows 10 as well.
Join my ping group to get notified of new wears. Buying mage amulets for 5 csc each, comment me to sell.

Yeah also I don't think I'm getting notifications of purchased items. Hope there's an update soon.
Edit: Just got a bunch of the notifications around 5-6PM est haha.

This should be fixed now! There was a problem causing events to get backed up. When we fixed it, a lot of backlogged events were released. So you might have gotten a bunch of sidebar events earlier as it was going through that backlog. Pinging since that probably affected a lot of people.
It would be great if someone can confirm that events sent to CW shop followers is working again, as that may be its own separate issue, but I'm not sure. We definitely want to make sure that's working before the CW sale starts.

Pings went through on my end...I think I had like 5 go through (since I've been trying the last few days at different times to see if it would work) but all of my backlogged ones went through and just a note I did NOT try any new pings since my last ones...so I don't know if its "working" again but the past ones did go through XD

Just to clarify - it's normal if you got a TON of pings at once earlier when we fixed this. That's because they were stuck there for a while, and they all got delivered at once when we unclogged the system. (Sorry about the accidental spam!)
I think it's indeed working now, but I'll leave this bug report open for a little longer just in case.

Is there a reason some CW shop events are under the forum category and others are under other?

It's because the event text contains "forums" or "post" or similar in it. The way event categories work is, it just looks at the event text and makes a "best guess" based on that. It doesn't always guess correctly though as you can see. This has come up every so often but is not something we will be able to fix until we move the system to V2. We know it is a little confusing, and we'll make sure the new system doesn't have this problem when we get there.
