A Vioran soldier lives in solitude, and knows no other life.
i moved to a city for a boy and we've just broken up after almost 5 years
i did the breaking up but it still is really bad and i hate it my family sucks and was and is super fucked up and abusive so i really don't see them ever and theyre like 1000 miles away
umm i have freinds online and stuff but thats about it
I know it's harder these days, but maybe check meetup (or a similar website in your area) and find a meetup that's interesting? I know my city has several groups just for people in the same age group to mingle and hang out, or things like group hikes/bikes/pub crawls, or whatever speaks to you.
If you want to stay more online, I usually dive deep into a game when I don't feel good about the rest of my life. Pokemon is usually my go-to since it's so portable, but there are lots of games you can essentially binge, haha. You can always find a new one to obsess over.
Sorry to hear about your breakup, but I'm sure you made the best decision for yourself. Good luck with everything (:
Facebook and Reddit can be really great resources, and most larger cities have communities on both that are dedicated to local discussions, including things to do and places to go. The biggest benefit to Reddit is that you don't need an account to browse threads, and the biggest benefit to Facebook is that it'll give you suggestions for related events/places/etc.
What hobbies do you have? With more time on your hands, you can delve more deeply into the things you enjoy, or you can explore new ones. You might also find groups dedicated to specific hobbies, too. Just speaking as an example, there's a specialty cooking supply store in my town with a whole community attached to it, made up of the customers and owners. You'll often find these communities in locally-owned businesses--bookstores, art/crafting supply stores, gardening stores, etc.
I haven't been single for a long time but solo stuff I do is watching netflix series, reading, playing an instrument, gaming, being on reddit, gardening, walking my dog. I also try to meet with friend regularly. I have some friends with who I play music, sometimes we meet for a coffee or dinner, I have a D&D group and I'm in a choir.
My recommendations would really depend on your personal interests. It's hard to give any real advice without knowing much about you - the types of hobbies and things that I do with my free time have been very dependent on my financial situation, work obligations, whether or not I had spare cash, access to a car, etc. etc.
At the very least if you have the internet and a computer there's a ton of things you can learn. Um... as far as cheaper hobbies go, if you're artistic at all I really enjoy embroidery. I also love creative writing and reading, so I spend a lot of time doing that too. If you like art there are a lot of open source programs out there (inkscape, gimp, etc.) that can make digital art more approachable hobbies too.
Search for festivals and events in or near enough to go to. Many take place through New years I've found. May find out new things you like.
FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.
I'm not actually single, but I still enjoy time to myself so I do a lot of solo activities. I like to hike and sit at the beach and watch people fish in the mornings. Every sunday I wake up and go to a local coffee shop and usually sit for an hour (either listening to peoples conversations or scrolling through facebook, insta, reddit, imgur, etc.). I also enjoy solo trips to the library, window shopping, thrift stores. And I do my best cleaning alone.
Maybe look into some new hobbies? What kind of interest do you have? Also as mentioned in the forms looking for meetups (especially if you're in a city!). I hang out with coworkers too occassionally.
sleep. ;-;
but on my GOOD days, when I have time off, I play Sims 4, draw, develop characters/storylines and brainstorm with friends, binge-watch scientific/educational videos on youtube (like all those PBS series). If I have the energy to drive/go out, I'd go visit my bestie or meet up with with friends closer by at a local food joint. Mediterranean food is ♥. Sometimes I'll just go on a walk and do some people-watching at local parks and stuff. Take my sketchbook and doodle while I'm at it.
I occasionally take myself out on dates, lol. Who says a nice dinner alone is a bad thing?

I love making hand crochet scarves! it's really easy to learn and you don't need knitting needles to do it, if you like creative stuff. I also play a lot of videogames lol, like Aura Kingdom and Animal Crossing!
I don't mind doing stuff alone, but I'm an introvert and a lot of the time prefer doing stuff solo though.
Personally, haven't really done it since covid became a thing though, but I loved going to movies alone so there's that. Going to get food at a restaurant was a thing I did when I lived on the east coast in NYC a lot. And of course, going to bookstores to browse or going to the library. Otherwise, try checking out your local city's events page; it'll list any major events, festivals, concerts, etc.. that are going on in your city.
I also do the same thing Sassyraptor does and just go to a local park and people watch and draw the people sometimes, or scenery I see. It's good drawing practice and it's relaxing.
Otherwise, if I'm in the house, it's stuff like video games, watching netflix, or painting. I have a painting, it's just re-gessoed black gesso at the moment because I ran out of titanium white and needed that for the base underpainting, but since i just go in new paints, time to get back to painting it again.
I'd say just go by your personal preferences and cater to that sort of thing. I'm a person who pursues more mundane solitary things in general, bookstores, museums, drawing solo, etc..etc.. so a lot of the stuff I tend to do is mostly me solo doing something, moreso than with someone else.
If you want to get out and explore your area, you should look into Geocaching. It's basically like a big treasure hunt! Very fun, leads you to plenty of interesting places, and if you're shy like me, it doesn't really require meeting new people. Also a great source of exercise.
If you want to stay in the safe confines of your home, definitely look on Facebook for gaming groups in your area. You could even branch out eventually, maybe try your hand at tabletop games or Dungeons and Dragons or something! Check if there's a gaming lounge near you!
