Sorry if the title didn't make much sense, but I need some help (even being here as long as I have lol)

So....items with arm/leg poses (lets take the Wereboots for example, or the new cozy pumpkin sweaters)....how do you make them look "right"/layer them correctly on the avatar base? I tried the vanishing cream but if you use a backdrop it just has a white outline/silhouette that stays. If there was a news post I missed or something with the changes please let me know. I've been driving myself nuts trying to figure this out. ;o;
