Cooking, farming, new design mechanics, new decor, new hair, new reactions, new music... this update looks like it'll be so good! :D I'm definitely going to grab the upcoming design DLC too, although I might wait to watch or read a few reviews first just to be safe.

What about you all? Those of you who play AC:NH, what about the new update is most interesting/exciting to you?

It's super exciting!

I think I'll definitely get back into the game again. I played for pretty much a whole year, starting from launch, but then a lot of my interest died down because I started finishing up collections (I only have art left to complete in my museum, only missing 1 more DIY collection), but now with the update it seems like there will be lots more things to do, so I'm looking forward to jumping back in!

I'm so excited!

It seems like they're finally adding a lot of features people have wanted for a while (farming, Brewster, Kapp'n). This update is massive and looks like it has so much to do. I'm also really interested in the DLC. I never played Happy Home Designer but it looks fun.

I haven't played in several months so I'm going to restart my island and play with all the new features from scratch!

I've still been playing daily. I always hoped we'd get a nice big update, but I still feel like I got my original money's worth (probably since I didn't play the other games). I'm happy to be also getting an expansion and I don't mind paying a little extra for it :) I spent a bunch of time pausing the hell out of the preview and it looks like a TON of new content was glossed over in the preview. :)

Having a hard time picking what specific part of the update is the most interesting to me x'D but a lot of it makes me very happy. I'll throw them under a spoiler though just in case;

I'm ecstatic! My most wanted feature of all time is finally coming true: redecorating your villager homes! I don't mind purchasing the DLC for it because I want that feature that badly.

Kid Cat is going to be the first to get his home redecorated. Poor thing is living like a stray street cat.

But, oh my, the new villagers are so cute. In love with Sasha, the mint bunny, and Shino, the deer with oni-like horns! I definitely want Shino on my island, and I'm hoping she's the sisterly/uchi personality.

I've already flattened my island, and I'm glad I waited for the direct before re-terraforming my island. All of the furniture (and especially the gyroids!!) looks so beautiful. I can't wait!

I have hundreds of hours on AC:NH but for the last few months I haven't touched the game entirely (partly due to a very busy work schedule, but mostly because I felt like I had done everything already and lost interest). Now I am BEYOND excited about both the free update and the DLC!

Can't wait to try the cooking feature and I'm losing my mind over all the new design options, like the accent walls or the new fence colors. Oh, and villagers visiting my house!

Will absolutely buy the DLC; I'm already in love with Niko and Wardell ~

I haven't touched the game for quite a bit but I'm 100% going to pick it back up when the DLC comes out. It looks absolutely amazing. I'm so excited for it!

I'm incredibly hyped about this launch! I'm so glad that they have made a spiritual successor of Happy Home Designer, because that game felt so underrated when it came out. Everyone was clamoring for a direct sequel to New Leaf, but I think HHD was a lot of fun in its own right. The connectivity between Happy Home Paradise and New Horizons is going to feel like a completely new game.

I am pumped! I'm so happy for all of the updates to the main game, as well as the HHD "expansion". I loved HHD when it came out, but was jealous of the items that I couldn't get in my main game. Linking them together is such a great idea. Cooking looks cool, but so far it doesn't seem like there's that much too it other than making new furniture items (which I love, so I will do it anyway).

I'm worried about space on my island! I have a cute little pumpkin patch nook - do I keep it there and expand the area for other crops? Make a totally new garden area? What about my orchard - there's a chance we may get some tropical fruit (like visiting the island in NL!). Do I need to replan that? It's all very exciting!

I WANT IT !!! Now if only Best Buy would restock series 5 of amiibo so I can get all my lads over ...............................

I have hundreds of hours, if not 1000 by now, on ACNH.. but I lost interest after trying to find cool ways to fill the back half of my island and falling short... I'm excited for all of the new features coming and hope that this will give me the extra push I need to finally finish my island! I wish I was like others who can start over when they get into a rut- but I can't seem to let go of my island, I'm very attached to it even when it frustrates me. Coming back to it after a long hiatus feels almost like coming home. <3

I'm really excited! I've been thinking about starting my island over and this would definitely breathe some fresh life into the game for me.

I am absolutely loving the 2.0 update and DLC. There’s so much more to do in terms of daily tasks now. I still have my original island and I’ve been so busy with the dlc alone that I haven’t even finished any terraforming! I like to play the game slow and try not to TT.
