hello! i've discovered a strange glitch happening to me here on subeta. it seems like all/most of the text on each site page is all italicized for me. not sure when this could have occurred, as when i went to bed last night everything was fine, but i woke up this morning to find everything like this. (even this post is showing up all italicized for me, even though i haven't used any italics scode.)

at first, i assumed it was just some of the customCSS i'm using glitching out. so i cleared ALL of my customCSS, but the italics still persisted. then, i tried logging out.

• when logged in, the italics is back: screenshot i've also tried logging into my account on a different browser (chrome, microsoft edge) and the same issue; italics gone when logged out, back when logged in. ^ which leads me to believe it's something linked to my account in some way.

thanks for taking the time to look into this. not a necessarily urgent matter, but thought i should report it here anyway. appreciate any help!

edit: as of 1:54 pm subeta time, the italics has gone away. huh, not sure what that was about. screenshots are still there for archival reasons i guess. if someone fixed something for me behind the scenes, thanks. if it just sorted itself out, i'll attribute it to something was speculating, and the site was taking some time to catch up and fix the glitch? oh well. its gone. ... for now.

Did you get any new sidebar events overnight? Have you tried clearing them out if so? I've seen this be an issue before with sidebar events having broken code in them that makes the whole site italics instead of just part of the event text, clearing the event usually resolves the issue.

i did get some events overnight but have since cleared the notifications and the italics persists. ive also gotten and cleared a few more events today since i’ve had the glitch, and still no fix.

perhaps it is an issue related to the events, as i’ve seen that brought up a few times now. however clearing them out didn’t seem to fix it for me. maybe an event didn’t get properly cleared when i deleted it or something, but its showing me 0 events currently.

Hm, strange. I know you said you checked your CSS already, but do you perhaps use the Notepad widget on your sidebar? Maybe something there got messed up? Just trying to think of what it could be, if that's not it then I'm not really sure.

i do use the notepad to quickly link to my shop/WL and stuff. cleared it completely and the italics is still there. i'm stumped. i appreciate the suggestions, though! hopefully this can get cleared up soon.

Do you have the friend feed widget? If so, try removing it. That fixed an issue I had not too long ago.

Agree with that it was likely a friend feed issue. Sometimes when someone changes their status to include symbols, the site gets bork'd.

it did, yes. i do believe it was probably something , or mentioned above, being a notification or friend feed glitch.
