Hi!! :) I'm mostly a traditional artist, but last year I got a new wacom tablet to try and get started on digital again (i had one before but my pen vanished rip). It's not a monitor tablet, I cannot afford one yet (intend to get one asap tho), and it's been a wild journey for me to kiiinda re-learn how to draw in it. It's not that bad, I made actual good progress ever since:

I have tried mainly SAI and PS, and I am a lot more comfortable working with PS than SAI, but I've been struggling a lot with brushes. Sometimes lines do not seem too clean or anything (it happened with SAI as well), and it gets me highly frustrated a lot of times, but I still try nonetheless~ I kinda really want to either get an ipad or a new wacom eventually, but I gotta work for that first.

I know this is very vague, but does anyone have any tips for brushes or anything helpful to get me through? either PS or SAI are good? I was trying my hand on seeing if I also can do a subeta wig, but I'm not sure about brushes either. I've been using an ink, but sometimes the line doesn't seem consistent at all, or might just be me not being used to it? :T I feel very weird still, maybe because I haven't found my 'thing' yet haha

Thank you for hearing me rant in advance <3 and for any kind of help even this makes zero sense.

one thing that really helped me struggling with lines is by turning up the stabilization! i have shaky hands and cant draw a straight line to save my life, and i think that might help with your lines.

unfortunately i can't really recommend any brushes for SAI or PS because my main art program is clip studio paint, but if you're comfortable with spending money i would recommend checking out Daub Brushes. i think they have brushes for photoshop including a lot of ink brushes that might be up your alley!
