Please give us a chance to get old Melody Items...Have her Sell old cottage Items, as a good sp sink!

Free shop is one way but it's very rare you'll get what you're after. User shops on most items (books) are often very expensive.

Either that or have the box of ornaments give them out? Since Melody sells those, she could up the price a little and add to the roster.

Or make a whole other box for old Melody items but selling outright seems best.

Bring back the Dungard quests! Let them hand out old Mrlody items as prizes. Have the quests be around all Lumi so everyone has a chance to get the quests done if they want!

I'm not at ease with having her sell an infinite amount of them, as

1. There are way too many

2. Most would never be bought. Ever.

3. Staff has been clear about wanting to "protect investments", and there are people who invested in once-released-but-gone collectibles. Let's not completely ruin people's investments.

However, having a box of random Melody items being given via the advent calendar would be interesting.

I think if something is in the free shop item pool, we're beyond worrying about protecting investments.

I like the idea of an ornament box but for Melody items! I would buy a ton of those. :)

I know the "protect investments" idea has been thrown around a lot recently, but I remember years past when "no item will ever be completely retired" was a more common sentiment from staff. Have we really switched gears? I was under the impression we were still a "no permanent retirements" site.

Also, Melody items aren't an "investment" and my only qualm I have with selling them is that Melody is a gift-giver and would (hopefully!) not want to just open up a shop for some kind of profit. Those items going out in the free shop felt like one of the best ways because Melody would probably want to give them away, right? They're part of the "giving season"!

It would be good to have a way other than the Free Shop to get those items, especially with all the edible wearables (although last year had very little of those which I am thankful for).

I like the idea of a random item box, maybe it could cost slightly more than the ornament box, if there's another donate button.

Very true. My only thought behind her selling was that she used the sp to fund more gift giving next year. ^^; But yes I also do like the Melody Box idea I was just worried people might not like the gamble. (Me... i love it so haha...)

I like the idea of a "Melody's Attic Box" or something like that that gives a few (1-3) old melody items. Perhaps as a low chance quest drop? I really can't see this being sold for sP since Melody is a giver.

We can easily explain if we decide to sell it as the funds go to future gifts Melody creates or she donates the money etc. :) That isn't the issue here.

You're investing in a wrong place. This isn't the stock market. ( Do NOT come at me. Just deal with it.) . . . What about items tied to Melody-related achievements? Have those been given out in any other way after the achievements have retired?
