With the recent trend of revamping old items, certain weapons have begun to return to the spotlight that are either excessively expensive or in extremely low supply. They look amazing, but are impossible for the vast majority of the user base to obtain even after several years. I am suggesting that a "fake" line is developed for the wearable weapons like the godlies that is solely coded for the wardrobe, they have no stat/battle usage, they are meant to be worn and worn alone.
Moving to the avatars subforum since you are requesting wearables.
given... everything that has happened today...
yeah! give me the fakey fake replicas that do nothing but look identical to the real one. it's not like i'm going to be able to win the real ones i want anyway!
They don't even have to be inexpensive; Putting a fake version of that Saheric Scythe in the Millionaire Center for 100M would be fine.
:)))))))))))
[edit] just make the item the same thing but broken [item=lucent (broken)] etc etc
This is a great idea!
Love this idea!
When the "fake" version is more practical than the real version, you know there's an issue...
This would be great. It would definitely help keep the resources put into extremely limited weapons from being wasted. There's constant talk of having almost no resources so this would be a great way to help get more wearables out without even having to make more art or only having to make "broken" icons or something.
What is wrong with having exclusive / super limited wearables on weapons? People work hard for godlies, and other event battle items. And some with a price tag of 9+ billion, is it wrong to have something to show off on our avatars outside of battling to showcase the item / achievement?
There are plenty of exclusive and retired CWs, much more limited than godlies, that I wished I own. Every time I encounter them, I pause and take notice. I feel that same for these exclusive / super limited wearables on weapons.
i think the majority of users on here come because of the extensive HA system. having "fake" nonusable counterparts to some of the difficult-to-achieve weapons makes sense. please let me use cool weapons
subeta could even release them in another color that's different so that people with the battle weps could still wear them and show they have the OGs.
As per Purge and Cranberry, they have to some degrees of separation, so the originals can still be the status symbol they want the godlies to be.
The fakes have to be easy to get. Drop them in the MC for 100mill+ like suggested gives people something to work for and sink some sP.
I'm throwing my support in this since I kicked up a fuss earlier. Please don't ping me. I've done enough arguing for a while.
I love this idea! Some weapons I just want to wear, but they are just too expensive/exclusive.
I also think it would appease those who are unhappy with this idea, if the 'Fake' wearable version looked a bit different from the real one(like a different color, or changed a little almost like a tribute cw would be)

(These are my ideas which are not set in stone and is probably imperfect)
I have a different viewpoint. In short, forget about the fake weapons. Keep them real, but compensate the owners of the real weapons with sP, then lower the weapon prices across the board. The staff have the ability to look up the owners anyways.
Put the weapons in a millionaire center, antique shop, or some consistent place. No random restocking and random lootboxes (they can still be used for prizes). The majority of weapons could be this price range: Tier 10: 100m-150m Tier 11: 250m-500m Tier 12: 750m-1b
Actually, I'm contemplating pushing prices even lower, because that is still quite a bit for both progressing battlers and wardrobe seekers. Tier 11: 150m-250m Tier 12: 250m-500m
(Further thoughts) Why is a weapon worth at least 9 billion for example? As the weapon is not in a shop, there's no fixed price for it. Then it's economics. If a user or battle admin says that price, it's either their opinion, asking price, or using whatever it last sold for. What happens to a weapon's worth if more gets released at a different price, for free, or someone goes poof? Also, why cap the number of weapons released, and what benefits does it really bring to the community in the long run? Do the current prices make sense if you convert sP to CSC or USD?
Also, I know there have been proposals to put some weapons in the battle shop. It could be better than my suggestions because it actually encourages battling. But what can the staff do to make it happen?
what, you DON'T want to spend OVER ONE THOUSAND USD worth of CSC for the chance at getting a single wearable? the horror! but my buddy's investment waaaah! /s

Support, please
I really don't understand the point of having these weapons be wearable in the first place if y'all only want like 5 people to have them so nobody really uses them.
Full support!
I hate moving stuff around. If I use a weapon in battle, I'll never get to wear it to show it off anyway. Because its way too much hassle to move it from my armory to my wardrobe then back again. This would remove any and all mods, mess up weapons setup (and heaven forbid I should go from a GA to not a GA in the meantime so that I wouldn't even be able to put it back). The only time a godly weapon goes into wardrobe is if I don't battle with it or I somehow get a second copy.
As for exclusivity, what's the point? If something only has a few copies on site no one is going to recognize it on your HA anyway. I own a few items that have 25 only onsite and no one, not even me cares, or notices. Even if every single user were gifted one of those exclusive items, it doesn't change my use of it. Doesn't change the fact that I own one. Doesn't affect me at all.

i think i made it clear before i hate battling on here and i think it sucks. so yeah, it could be cool to have fake wearables, but i don't really see it happening, as it would evidently upset certain hardcore battlers!
expensive, "exclusive" things (like really old free gifts for example), get re-released. old things get put back in the cash shop every year, or with the hustler. hell, the antique shop exists. the exclusive avatar border from quest-a-thon got re-released this year. but when it comes to things remotely related to battling, it's unthinkable. no weapons in the free shop. only re-release things in a loot box worth 9 billion sp. and now the argument is that even releasing wearable only versions would be unfair? my god, this is a few straws short of the last for me.
How many of those free gifts, cash shop items, etc are in the billions? How many of those were actually 'earned' instead of clicking a button with minimal effort?
I've spent over a year and a half saving 25b+ for a godly weapon... is it for battling? hardly. No opponent comes close to needing any of the those weapons to beat. I did so because I wanted to own a relic of the past, one of the best. At times I use it to battle for jokes, enjoy the battle flavor text, other times use it on my HA... I dont really care if others notice, it is a sense of accomplishment.
There are only 8 godly weapons and a small handful of event-exclusives... by comparison, there are a couple hundred weapon wearables that are easily obtainable, affordable. Other wearables number in the thousands, and CWs closing 50k. Why are people so fixated on this tiny group of weapons? I kindly ask that if you desire them, make it a goal and save for them / earn them.
I understand that the battle system is not great, and staff doesn't have capacity to overhaul it. But this isn't a reason to strip its rewards (weapon, wearable - however you see it). Yes, the god boxes has nothing to do with battling - but its really an exception so the wider player base can have a chance at purchasing them. The BAs can easily have made this a limited 5k impossible token item... where everyone will still complain because they have to battle with a 'broken system' for a 'wearable' (ie. the new spork) =_=
That's all I have to say...
There's nothing exclusive about weapons, or any non-CW items. Event-exclusives should actually be called event prizes.
Why are people so fixated on a tiny group of rare items? Because the vast populace don't have it, and it's on their wishlist for years. The tight and dwindling supply makes those items extremely challenging to obtain. For users who didn't manage to get one, they end up picking the tab from a decade of rising prices and indecisiveness on how to release them again.
So CWs can be limited, exclusive but event prizes cannot? The majority wants rare items, so they must be made cheap, affordable, and widely accessible?
There's a rerelease of the godlies right now, plus the basic box for future battle events. Work for it and cross it off the wishlist.
