Many of us like to check the forums to see if we can find users with cakes beside their names so we can send gifts for their birthday. It helps brighten up their day! It is sometimes hard to find these users - perhaps there is some way to add an option to the Friend Feed to see birthday of anyone on site who chooses to have a cake by their name on their birthday?

When you register is the cake icon automatically on or off? If this happens, I would like to make sure the cake icon is opt in rather than opt out.

the birthday icon is disabled when you first sign up.
