I'd like to see the search shops tweaked to show the shops of friends at the top of the list. Maybe they could be listed with a different font so those who choose to buy at the cheapest price could differentiate between options at ease.
Moving this to suggestions since it is not really feedback on shop search but a request to change it.
I would not be in favor of this change because everyone's friend list is different. Seems like an additional cross reference that you would have to multiply per active user.
I would not want to see shops from my friends list appear at the top, I think how it is now is fine :)
No support. There's an achievement for having 50 friends, as a result my friend list is bloated with people who aren't really my friends, only added as achievement fodder. I've also added people to help them with achievements and for pet transfers and other "non-friend" reasons.
I'm horrible at curating the list. Sometimes I can remove a friend immediately, but other times, especially when its achievement related I need to keep them on the list until they get the achievement. I may not be notified when they get it, I may have forgotten by then, and a thousand other reasons why someone doesn't get removed.
you can use CSS to highlight a few special shops if you like. I've done that with friends' shops.

.row[data-shopid='####'] {color: green;}
.row[data-shopid='####'] {display: none;}
Just replace #### with their shop id. You can also use whatever colors you want, named colors, hex colors, etc. They won't show up at the top, unfortunately, but you can scan the results for any results with color. Use display none if you want to make sure a certain shop doesn't show up (like someone you blocked, or whatever).

No support. I want to see cheapest, and I don't want other things getting mixed into that.
If it was an optional preference that could be set? Sure, why not.

I don't hate this idea but I don't think I'd find it practical, but I do really like the code Lypsyl shared to highlight a shop when it appears at its normal place in the shop search. That is really cool.
I get where you were going with this. It would be nice to buy from friend shops first, but as mentioned above, it wouldn't be too great for those of us that have a lot of friends and some that are rarely active. That would leave you with higher shop prices that may be severely outdated.
I want to support the idea of supporting a friends shop, but at the same time.. it just wouldn't work out for most people. ;c
