I recently rearranged some pets, and now they're all the wrong color. I've decided to take the opportunity to rethink some of their looks.
One of these is my pet Auburn, who was previously a Reborn Malticorn. Auburn is part of my rainbow set, and she should be somewhere between red and orange.
Which of these do you think looks best? I'm having trouble deciding for myself.

I know, they all have different personalities. But Auburn's wasn't really developed before, so that's not a problem.
- they are all nice but the Malticorn jumped out at me. She looks sassy and full of attitude, although that might not be what you were thinking of xD
Good luck choosing!
Thanks for the input!
I'm not sure what I'm looking for. I agree, the malticorn does look sassy and 'tudinous - that's what she used to be. But I just don't know...
Right now I'm kind of leaning toward the darkonite, but that doesn't feel right either.
As soon as I saw the name Auburn, I thought of Harvest pets. The Devonti sticks out for me.

Here's the Reborn Devonti for comparison.

Those are beautiful creatures.
So beautiful, in fact, I already own them. :D [pet not found] [pet not found] Ember is actually Auburn's younger sister!
Plus, all Harvest pets are out of the question because they are the almost exclusive color of the rival country to Auburn's.
I like your ideas though. If I could create a custom for it, I might even make a red-orange version of the dark matter devonti because they are adorably derpy. Alas, I'm not very good at editing the darker-colored pets.
I'm not sure if you'll like it, but I tried to do some editing of the Darkmatter Devonti based on auburn-colored hairs :) How does it look to you?

Yours is kind of on the right track, but a little too dark and reddish.
I tried to do something on my own. I'm still not satisfied with the result, but it's something I guess.

I'll have to see if I warm up to it in the next few days or can figure out a way to make it better.
Here's what I used for reference:

If you still want me to help you with the design, let me know :) Otherwise, good luck!
Her color isn't related to her name but to my spectrum plans. In that, she's red-orange, while her sister is yellow-orange. Since I already have two that are more red, I want to make that distinction clear.
The Whole Picture
I like that yours is more muted than mine - I think I went too gung-ho on the fiery look. My biggest struggle is to get her dark "skin" (non-fluff parts) look lighter and more defined.
Alright, here's my final attempt at something more orange. You're right, making the dark skin look lighter is hard almost like whitewashing 😬

My biggest concern with the darkness is that my eyes have been getting worse lately and it's gotten harder and harder to distinguish dark things on my screen (especially my laptop screen, which makes things even darker for some reason). [sub]I'm not even middle-aged yet... it's very stressful.[/sub]
Plus, everyone else in the spectrum has lighter colors or at least more well-defined features. Even Maxine, whose green is pretty dark comparatively.
Anyway, I say all that just in case you weren't joking about that last part or someone else takes it the wrong way. :)
So to the edit: I think it came out more even in tone than mine, and I like the brightness of the face. A friend of mine recently offered up another edit. Do you mind if I take your edits and mine and hers and play around with them, maybe come up with a combination of some sorts? If I end up using any part from yours, I will happily give you credit. ^_^
Feel free to! I'm glad to be of help :)
Thank you so much! I really appreciate all your help. :D
[Edit]I thought you might want to see what I think is the final edit. I think I only ended up using the face from yours, but I really like how it lets me see all her features.
