I know that the method that our search engine used to find items was.. not ideal. We now have a brand new service running at search.subeta.net that is very fast and very powerful. We're starting to add it to our other models, so you'll see more powerful search (dare I say... forum search??) in the near future.

To give you an idea of what we've run the indexer over and have < 10ms search working for:

• Items
• Pets
• Users
• User Shops
• User Shop Items (!!) including prices

Improvement, but it's still a little wonky for some things, maybe things that start with numbers? For example, trying to type in "100 credit gift card" at "100" I get results for "Science For Pets I" and "Burger" which is... Not it. Thankfully it does pop up once I type the "c" afterwards, which is indeed accurate faster than it was the day before when I searched for this.

So looking forward to the forum search though...

Does this mean I can search for unpriced items in shops, not galleries? :think emoji:

:) This made me very happy as I started to read, but you have no idea the giddy feelings I felt at reading "dare I say... forum search??". I understand if that part takes a little longer and will be patient, but overall this post makes me happy.

OK, i just tried this... so typing in 100 .. how are the 'burger' or the 'sun fester plushie' related to 100 in any shape of form? o.o This is weird.. or is it just me...? It does look faster though.. Thanks and keep it up!

This is very good news. The search engine has been driving me nuts since the change, particularly if I needed to find something fast for Item Scramble (altho, that doesn't actually matter at the moment since IS has been broken for ages). One thing at a time, I guess.

Woo! One thing though, why can you not scroll through the options showing up? We know there are more than 5 results that should come up. There are a lot of times I can't remember enough of the name or the spelling to narrow it down further.
