Sorry if this has been asked before or something, but for the quest-a-thon if someone gets the wizard buff where you get an extra quest for him (as I did today, Wizard: 16 / 15) does this count for the personal goal quest wise? So if someone had a wizard buff a lot of days or even all days leading up to the end date, getting the gold border could be on luck alone vs someone who does not get the buff most days or at all? Or are these extra quests not going to be counted?

Pretty sure they are counted but if you do every quest and don't get a single buff you should and will still get the gold border since ties are a thing so i wouldn't worry about getting the buff

Surely there could not be a tie between someone who didn't get a single buff and did all quests vs someone who did all quests and got at least 1 buff? The person who got the buff would have more quests completed.

I'm not worried about it really, what happens happens I was just wondering xD I've never participated before so was just curious about the border criteria. I mean, it's probably not counting the extra quest for the border anyway (I hope).

The people who get the buff and complete all other quests would be in 1st place, and all the people who did not get a buff but completed all other quests would be 2nd. A lot of people eould still be tied for 2nd and still get the border.

Of course, just as an example. People might get more than one buff but if you complete all quests on all days, you'll stay in the running fornthe border.

extra wizard quests do count! but it's not a huge issue for the top 100.

there would be a tie at first place for the magical gold account people who do all their quests and got wizard quests everyday, and then for the next several ranks there'd be ties for the people did all their quests and got between 10 and 1 extra wizard quests. but that only accounts for ranks 1 through 11; anyone with a gold account who does all their quests will share this hypothetical rank 12.

that said, bonus wizard quests are pretty rare! the likelihood of the hypothetical ranks 1-11 being people who got lots of bonus wizard quests is very small, and the gap in number of quests between ranks 1 and 100 is likely to be really big anyway, since last time plenty of people reported not doing all of their quests and getting the gold border regardless.

Think of the gold borders as 100 "tiers" not 100 winners.

So even if some people have incredible luck and get a bunch extra wiz quests, that still only takes the top 10 tiers, there will still be 90 tiers below that. But generally speaking, you just don't get that many bonus wiz quests. In previous QaTs I've heard of people getting 0-3.
