I think this is a nice achievement that could push people to shop there!

I support this and considering how pricy some of the collection items are this would be a great idea! Incentive!

yes please. I hope if an achievement like this is made, it'll account for purchases made prior to its creation, since I've alright bought up a number of direct-to-collection books for my reader, LOL.

I like the idea of this, as well as having either a forum title or a border, or both (maybe for different tiers), I agree that it would encourage people to buy from there more often, the prices of a lot of the items do put me off so it would feel good to have something to work towards.

Full support, but /only/ if it’s retroactive and includes DTC. I’ve spent so many millions there but don’t have nearly as much to go.

Agree with several of the earlier comments - I really like this idea, but only if it can be retroactive and includes the DTC items as well.

I've spent a fuckton of sP in the shop, and my reaction is different to it being retroactive. This Achievement would be/seem very hard to new players, and us old players would get it just for existing

I spend fifty million sP every season just buying the new stuff. Even if we don't get anything else from the MC it is possible for an old player to spend 200MsP per year. It doesn't need to be retroactive.

Unfortunately, we definitely do not receive new items every season in the Antique shop, and its quite possible that older users have bought everything they already need from the items in there as the shop itself gets updated very sporadically, so your reasoning doesnt really make sense to me.

My idea was a little half-formed.

The analogy is that sometimes you just need to wait, and therefore the game of patience in getting this particular Achivement would be just as much a waiting game as the spending money in the MC is doable with a seasonal MC. New players' waiting game would also be going on at the same time as earning the sP in the first place, is the only difference.

Stuff does get added to the Antique shop. Just because it's not a regular regular doesn't mean it won't happen. There are a number of site events already that are older than previous events that have since become Antique-r-ated. Depending on chosen sP-values just one of those new events could get you all the tiers.

I agree here, too much of what damaged the site in my opinion in the past was catering to the older user base. Like the battle system in particular. Previous admins would cater to those older user and neglect those that just started or were established users new to battling.

I personally like this achievement and should not think it should be retroactive. Say for example you go to buy a 2,500 dollar computer in a store and a year later that computer is on sale for 1,500. You wouldn't think I'm going to that store for the difference, they ripped me off. No you would probably be thinking, damn I should of waited or something of that naure.

You’d think that would be the case, lol, but there are awful customers that do actually demand to be refunded as much as the sale would’ve been. I’ve seen.. a lot.. working in retail 😳

Big agree, though. I also think that achievements shouldn’t have to be retroactive just to cater to people who’ve been here longer. I can’t imagine how disheartening it must be as a new user to see that, “oh an achievement was released, spend 1bil at the antique shop, wow what a great long term goal” then go down to the comments to see a hundred old users complaining about how they have to work for it too.

I support this and don't care if it's retroactive or not even if I spent sp in that shop already. Just new achievements in general are a win. c:
