You can change your pet name to anything you want now, the names don't have to be unique. :) (Unless you're looking for a pet with a Legacy name)

Legacy names are the original names of pets before the new system was implemented. Pets with Legacy names (like my

Conviction) display what their legacy name was. There are options to clear legacy names, which is helpful if looking for a color or number or if the name is not what you're looking for. Legacy names are essentially a way for those who spent a long time looking for names/waiting for unique names to open up in the old system to still show them off (so if you have 6 Shadows, the one with the Legacy name: Shadow would be the "original" so to speak)

Changing names is located in a drop down menu that appears after you click the arrow in the upper right corner of your pet on your Pets page.
