So, I know that in the past, it's been verified that there will never be a Subeta app. But every time I see the idea come up, one of the biggest motivators is to be able to get mobile notifications about your event alerts.

But the technology to send these notifications already exists! Like the many annoying news sites that ask you to allow them to send you notifications from your web browser. It works on mobile and on desktop (except Safari on iOS). You can google something like "web browser notification API" and "web workers API" to read the MDN docs.

I'm definitely not going to say it would be "easy" to implement (I have no idea how the alert system is running behind the scenes), but I think it would be a good quality of life update, especially for all of us who are mobile-first. At the very least, I would love for this to be considered for V2 - but I'm posting it in the general suggestions with the hope that it's possible right now, as well.

If this has already been addressed somewhere, please point me to it! I didn't see this particular suggestion in my manual searching.

we actually used to have this! do you mean where we would see something like, "(1) Subeta - Pets"? it would be a push notification for the browser? yeah, we used to have it. i'm not sure why it was gotten rid of, but i don't see why not with v2 coming it, that it should make a return.

Woah, did we really? I feel like I've really lost track of what was removed over the years. I probably didn't even use Subeta on my phone at the time, haha. I definitely hope it can be reimplemented eventually!
