i've been sat here for an hour trying to figure it out myself but i might as well crowdsource bc why not. i had this overlay created by for my pet jedi killer (based off of kylo ren) for a while now but i finally decided to submit it for an official custom overlay HOWEVER i am struggling if this is within copyright guidelines.

is him being a snake that has wings and visible hair when his masked design does not show hair enough to vary him lol or is that just wishful thinking. if i want to get really technical, his lightsaber hilt is not accurate either.

I'd say that's derivative enough from Kylo Ren's official design. Like, the influence is definitely there and it's clear who you're referencing, but the design isn't lifted straight from Disney. I think you should be OK!

I'm just worried about getting dinged for it being too close, and I don't know if they refund you if it gets rejected for copyright reasons since I know there's a clause about not being refunded if something is found to violate rules later? Idk how it works since my other submissions have been custom art/simple recolours.
