Since they're a floating item, if you open a lot of tabs and flowers appear on multiple of them, only the flower from the most recent tab can be grabbed while the rest expires. Can there be a way to get multiple flowers like this?

I believe it was like that before.

I assume it was taken away so people are not opening 100+ tabs.. Not sure if it effects the servers at all, kind of like being able to buy items without the 5 second timer.

If that were allowed then people would just open up hundreds of tabs and then collect the flowers. It would completely saturate the site with flowers/coins and cause them to plummet.

Personally, if it was increased to the 2 or 3 most recent tabs, sure. But more than that, and yeah, everything would plummet.

This is not the reason it works that way. Floaters originated as a kind of easter-egg-hunt. Me I like the hunt part of it it is a game to me so I do not box and re-locate my flowers.

There was a time before the sCode was created that would put a floating item in a box in a specific place on the screen. Users would miss the flowers. So if you left a page which had a flower on it, the site would generate another flower to give you a chance to catch that flower, and it would discontinue the previous one. Otherwise, there is a cooldown time in between flowers independent of how often you refresh pages, and a user who was doing something refresh-intensive, or who has limited time to play Subeta, or who is not particularly observant could repeatedly miss their flower chance. This was making flowers seem rarer than they were.

Therefore all those "extra flowers" users see in multiple tabs are not at all extra, and we do not "deserve" to get them. Box them, or play the game and keep your eyes peeled.

My only issue is that sometimes when you open multiple tabs (which I do for a number of non-floater reasons), it doesn't let you grab any of the floaters. I'm not even sure if that is a glitch, or a me thing.

yup, this happens for everyone. :( i would love if that were changed, because it's pretty annoying. the functionality exists for survival flowers, and at least used to exist for pumpkins (i've missed the past few Morostides, but i assume it's still the same), so it seems like there's no philosophical objection to it, and the code to implement it already exists.

I always play with multiple tabs open, and do miss some flowers that I wanted 'more' that way. The site always lets me pick the most recent flower unless I somehow miss it by clicking away too quickly. Old flowers never work. That's okay; I just have to wait a few more clicks before another pops up.

There's clearly also a timer - after collecting a flower, there's a wait before any more start popping up. Allowing people with multiple tabs open to pick flowers from any tab would negate the timer and oversaturate the site with flowers.

I'd just like a page if you MISSED the flower (refreshing over it rip) you could go collect it
