I have several items that just kinda sit around and struggle to sell and it made me think, I wish I could just send some of these to random people who actually want them, it would be cool if you could look for WLs by item

Then I found out you CAN search by item! So the system for my idea is kinda already there

There’s no way to gift non-friends tho

It would be cool if there was a daily or event where you could wishlist gift someone anonymously and get a prize: an item or like a currency for a unique item shop, the quality of the reward could be based on user cost (so it doesn’t just become a pointless ecosystem where everyone just has trash on their wl and everyone just sends Super Rare trash to reap the highest rewards)—this could be exploited by back door negotiations and tradebacks but maybe I have a solution for that too

To avoid exploitation through gift trading there would have to be a rule/mechanic in place that the item can’t be (or won’t be) gifted to someone you’re friends with or have been friends with. I could see this being frustrating for those who have tons of friends, but i think it also keeps with the spirit of anonymous random gifts :)

What do you think? Could be too tight of restrictions to be an enjoyable user experience though that could be remedied with neat rewards; or it could still exploitable in ways I haven’t though of and therefore unrealistic to implement

I think in any case, it would be great to have a tool to gift through someone’s wishlist without being their friend, even if there’s no incentive to go along with it, for when you have items lying around that you know could make someone else’s day a lil brighter

You can send items to non-friends already through the gift center (if they have gifts from non-friends enabled)

Yeah gifting to non-friends is an option. However now people can toggle whether or not they want to be open to non-friend gifts. I In terms of incentives, there is always the donation center which can make someone's day
