A Squishy translucent sea fish that is cute, sciencey, AND cool. I wish they were an actual pet!

I can't stand this thing. It's hard as heck to get and it's just this baloony fuckin... stoopid looking bloated as shit BEEEEeeee. You should be able to get a MUCH cooler pet from the blue building than this!

2# Torrey

Torrey is one of those pets that fails at being cute or charming the hardest out of all the common pets imo because to me it's [I]so[/i] forgettable. It's just this... generic fox anthro looking thing with wings, with eyes that look way bigger disproportionately on their head than they need to be. I know they are sorta hinted at to be the opposites of Charlies, that's kinda interesting, Without knowing that tho they are just so bland and uninteresting. It's just a (Not very!) cute two-legged fox guy with wings, that's it. Yawn.

It's just... a duck. A freakin duck. This is the lamest looking animal I'd want as a virtual pet, Idk, that can be kind of charming I guess but not for me.

^^^THIS. I forgot about the Escalade! It's always been one of those pets that I have no freakin idea what it's supposed to be. Other than being vaguely inspired by those legendary dog pokemon maybe. That helmet and the frog face just always threw me off. That's cool that the Qrykees up there, Subeta needs more cool reptile guys!

This has to be one of favourite designs ever. They look so sad I just want to give them a hug. They also kind of remind me of Shedinja.

The Illumis was the pet alongside the Cybill that got me into subeta in the first place. I don't own one but I really need to make a character for one.

Tutani

It's just so big! The Tutani is so hard to make look good in it's colours because they have no extra space. It's a fat dolphin with wings on it's tail.

Antlephore

It's too small. I really would prefer a deer who had massive antlers which looked magical and not this derpy deer. I think a lot of subetas audience have outgrown the derpy look.

Telenine

I don't know what it is. Maybe it's because I'm not a big fan of big dogs. They just look so strange with their spikes on their spine..

Bees should be cute. This one is not. Could've been a great rock/gem design, instead it's a nondescript... thing. Hate the helmet/face. Fine otherwise.

Endeavor - Love a lot of the colors for this species Tigrean - Love the expression in their faces Qrykee - Love this prehistoric gator in literally almost every color

Pets I find the most boring: Experiment - I just never liked this thing Hipottu Dragarth - there are so many other dragonesque pets (mahar, endeavor, magnus, rreign, Paralix) that this one is completely lackluster

okay so hear me out guys, warador is one of the coolest pets in my opinion, i feel like i never see these guys enough on people's profiles, I think the default black and red may be what drives people off because its not the best colors for this pet but the other colors make this pet look super cool. NOT to mention the lore behind this pet is very interesting and it gives the pet a very emotional aurora

These guys are so cool! i love robot characters so when i learned i can just transform a pet into one using a toy I did exactly that so i could get one as soon as possible. Also these guys are cool because they work really well with "elemental" themed potions even though usually that kind of stuff clashes with robot themes

least favs (this was a hard list to make since i dont really hate any of the pets and do think they all have some individual quality)

they're just as cute as they are boring, there are a lot of dragon type pets that just look more interesting than these guys :/

Torrent

A fish is already a boring animal so we aren't left with much to work with anyways, so it doesnt really stand out compared to other aquatic looking pets. It is the only pet fish looking pet so its unique in that. although while gathering pictures i learned that torrent but with the graveyard color is really funny so maybe theres a redemption arc to this pet as sort of a joke thing to have.

Montre

I dont hate montre at all but there are other pets that are very similar that are also just random mammals with wings.

I also picked what i thought was the best selection of colors for each pet : )

Wait this is such a fun idea, love seeing everyone's reasons for their faves and least faves. lol forever at "it's just a duck" cuz that's how I feel about a few pets as well (antlephore, chelon for example). I don't have favorite species in general but specific color/species combos.

Favorites:

1 - hipottu

I adore the art quality and design so much! I'm not generally a huge fan of hippos IRL but for some reason the hipottu is just my very most favorite. I also feel like it works super well for orc characters too for some reason (maybe the visible teeth and hippos being bulky, I dunno), and I love making orcs and half-orcs. c':

2 - ontra

I love the design so much and the art quality is amazing. Seriously amazing pet, I love it so much.

3 - telenine

Sabertooth wolf with cool stego spines on its back!! I love this species, and it has some amazing art quality in the colors.

Not gonna do least favorites because I just wanna gush about my faves~

Really hard to only pick 3! But my favourites are probably:

1. Ruffie - I just think they look really cute and they remind me of my IRL dogs
2. Jollin - I love foxes and I've always loved how the glade Jollins look!
3. Kanis- They have grown on my recently! Really love the angelic Kanis!

this was so hard? I really love certain species/color combos but I've never really focussed on a specific species. for example, I love the Glade Clawsion but the other colors don't really do much for me. I have like 4 popokos because I love all things cute and the spectrum kerubi is the reason I joined subeta all those years ago!

I am a total cat person, and Feli is just too cutesy for me. Celinoxes are definitely my favorite!

Cadogre

This is actually a newer favorite for me. I love the robot-with-emotions concept in general, and I like most of the art.

Darkonite is an honorable mention. Love Serpenths too but dislike some of the updated art. LOVE some of the new experiments, too ( is one I actually want).

I actually don't care for...a LOT of pets, but I don't think they're bad, they're just not my thing. I'll just put a few I know I'll definitely never get.

I just really love the Telenine and the Montre, canine pets have just always been a favourite, the Ontra I just love the art for, I think it's adorable!
