I would like to turn my pet Dundee into a Qrykee but the zapper is giving the option of adopt. I do not want any new pet. Is there a way to make my current pet a Qrykee? Will be making it a hydrus Qrykee.

Yes, you go to the zapper but rather than zap, at the bottom of the dialogue is an option for a yaharra or a qyrkee, click that n' you can choose to make new or change an existing pet :)
