you can call me Mono. full time grad student studying cancer, though i'm mostly at home right now, as i'm sure many of us are. i know the subeta rp forums are so so so dead - as evidenced by the fact that my literally two year old rp search is still on the first page - but i'm desperate i figured why not post here. who could it hurt. certainly not me.

here's some hard and fast info for the literally one human being who might see this: 01 i'll play pretty much all genders and pairings (romantic or not), but i won't lie, i'm not as enamored with mxf if both the characters are cis. 02 my limits are reasonably limited. 03 i generally only roleplay over email (sorry), though i might be lured somewhere else if we really vibe 04 have fun! this is a serious guideline - roleplay is a hobby, not a chore. if you're not having fun, let me know, so we can fix it or try something else. or you can just ghost me, that's fair enough.

genres: -sci fi (i know this is broad, but i mean it broadly - anything from space opera/gallivanting through the galaxy to cybernetic apocalypse to an alternate universe where technology never developed past the bronze age) -medieval fantasy -apocalyptic fantasy -anything fantasy, really -or really anything apocalyptic -OR you can just send me an intro. literally any intro. just give me anything in any context whatsoever i don't care at all, i'll reply. smail me for my email and we can go from there.

i create a new character for almost every single RP that i do, so i have no pre-established character sheets or anything of the like. if you really need pictures, i'll try and find one that's close, but honestly i'm not going to give you anything unless you request it.

IM IN. Apocalyptic fantasy. A rift in space collided with earth. People we're prepared for the worst, and they got it. Scientists made large underground iron bunkers, and with that and the Earth's crust, they were unaffected. As we're most buildings, technology, and other man made things. Instead, it affected the biology of the planet. At first, everyone thought it was fine. Until, plants started exhibiting alien like features. The people who were unprotected from the rift's magic had offspring that would sneeze fire and other magics. It was chaos. At first they tried to detain those who exhibited magical abilities, but that quickly became futile as only about 8 million worldwide made it into the special underground bunkers, and non magical beings quickly became the minority. Chaos followed, people become divided as some people have charismatic powers, as their words literally charm people, quickly gain lead as they develop a loyal following of more physically powerful people. Others found their powers related to what they needed in the environment they were born in. Arctic environments usually got powerful heat biased powers. Desert environments reported ice and water based magics. This, of course, made those with less savory morals realize they could breed what powers they wanted in a kid, and thus stricter child laws came into order, restrictions in place, and our story will start about 50 years into all this.

I just made all that up so feel free to edit the shit out of it. I'm pretty basic, we seem to have the same limits, I'm down for romance but I don't want it to be the theme. I have a lot of DND stuff at my disposal, so we could totally draw inspiration from that if you're down. I'ma send you an Smail right now!

hiiii i've not roleplayed in years- but i recently joined subeta again and am so excited this fourm isn't completely dead! i think we have a lot of similarities in taste and expectations as well. i love super open ended and almost ambiguous story lines that leave character development super flexible. i gravitate towards scifi because i enjoy a world free of gender norms and racism- although i'm not against those things being involved in plot, especially if it's based on the world at hand and not an extension of what's experienced in human life as we know it. yknow!! escapism!!
