Since yesterday, I've been getting events that say "the topic has a new post" with no links or additional information about what topic has new posts:
Here's the HTML for one such event, and you can see there's a place for a link, but it's not filled in:
Have you checked your subscribed topics to see if there is a topic that has been posted on recently?

I've been getting these too, and I'm not subscribed to any topics.

- At a glance, I'm not seeing any subscribed threads with new posts. Is there an easy way to check that without opening each thread individually?
Oh gosh I thought it was set up different. I will go ahead and report this but the programmers may ask the same question.

I got this event yesterday as well (only once). I'm only subscribed to 2 topics, I checked both of them and neither had any new posts.
This happened to me as well a few days ago. At the time I was subscribed to only two threads, and one of them was a thread I'd started back during Survival. Since that board was closed, there were definitely no new posts on it, and I no longer needed to keep track of it anyway, I turned off the notifications and unsubscribed from the thread (probably redundant, but I wanted to be able to turn off the notifications if that was what was causing the problem). Since then I haven't seen any more mystery notifications.
Then again, cartel said they weren't subscribed to any topics and were getting notifications anyway, so who knows.
Hey all, we are investigating this issue. If anyone still has these notifications in their sidebar, could you please hover over it and get the exact timestamp for me? Or, simply keep it in your sidebar and give me a ping, and I can take a look in the database to find the timestamp. Thanks :)

Oof, I already deleted it back when it happened and it was only that one time so far (for me). I will post if it happens again though.
Is 4/19 the date this started happening for everyone? Just trying to narrow down a time frame to start narrowing down the posts that may have triggered it. It's difficult to track down what caused this since the event text doesn't contain any information about the post.
If any can remember, this info would help:
- How many of these events you received, and what date you received each one (and rough time if you know it, basically as much info as you have)
- When is the last time you got one of these / does the problem seem to have stopped happening now?

I only got it once myself, I believe it was on the 20th. Sometime in the afternoon, I think, or at least late morning/early afternoon Subeta time.

I only got it that one time and not again.
Side note that may not be super helpful, it happened to me one other time about a year ago, here's a link to that old thread even though it doesn't really have much information - Broken forum topic alert?
That one time last year and the one time a couple days ago are the only times that I can ever remember this happening, so it does seem to be a rare bug at least, whatever it is.
I got 7 events total:
Monday at 7:15 pm
Monday at 7:16 pm
Monday at 7:17 pm
Monday at 7:22 pm
Monday at 7:23 pm
Tuesday at 2:25 pm
Something like that and I had like 7 events or so and it still went on even when I unsubscribed everything for a bit then it stopped for a while now

This bug is back. I received two phantom notifications tonight.
