Would be a great way to clear out the pawn shop, bring CW’s to the people that cannot ordinarily afford them/make CSC as if it’s not wanted it could be re-pawned?
Thoughts?
Maybe if its been there for over 5 years it could be more reduced? Perhaps there might be another way to clear the pawn, however since this could possibly lose sub a lot of money. As many have suggested that someone would just sell them back I guess this wouldn't work practicly.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this
Unless they'd be very very rare in FS, that's too generous. The prices are pretty affordable rn anyway.
It's a pleasant enough idea, but unfortunately I think they'd end up dumped back in the pawn shop for the CSC and we'd be back where we started.

That would be cool, but does seem a bit too generous. Most would probably be repawned so wouldn't really solve the issuse of a cluttered pawn shop.
It still would be cool to get free cws.
Too generous makes it sound like people are all pretentious and "I don't want this poor thing to have my Chanel dress! I paid $30000 for it! Why shouldn't they!"

I'm more concerned about more CSC going into the economy if things are repawned than letting people have nice things. If we can hardly get Morty Cards now, I don't think letting 125 CSC into the economy en masse will fly.
Those CWs were mostly 700 csc to begin with. Then they're cut by being in Pawn, then they're cut again by last year change in CWs system. So that Chanel dress is like 3000$ by now per your comparison. Also, as we're told here and there, subeta's a business that should earn for itself. Currently there's about 6000 CWs in Pawn (60 pages x 100 on each site, some may be more copies of), assuming average price of 200 CSC, that's 1200000 csc = 12000 $ that subeta would kinda lose. So yeah, I'll still say that'd be too generous. We got free csc in the past and some CWs in a raffle of some kind, so few copies in Free Shop would be nice, sure, but maybe not the whole Pawn.
I like it. Lets face it, there's stuff in there that's been there for years and letting it go to someones account who maybe wouldn't buy it normally isn't going to harm the rest of the userbase. Getting the Pawn Shop cleared of the older/less desirable items is a win/win imo.
I believe the fair way to do that would be by time spent in the pawn shop. If something has been in there for years or since the shop started, sure, but all of them seems unfair to the people hoping the item they couldn't afford this year will be there next time the pawnshop is open.
I think it is a good idea but it should be like when there are things in the token shop and you can only get so many items in a certain amount of time and I think it should be for people who haven't had the chance to donate at all in the game so it gives them a chance to own CW's

Absolutely not. Subeta is a business and needs money to survive. This will not help that.
Even if items haven’t been bought this time around, they may be bought next time.
If certain CWs never get bought, so what? No one wants them. Giving CWs no one wants away just means they’ll be dumped straight back into the pawn shop and more CSC will enter the economy for free.
It is very easy to make enough sP to buy CSC from resellers. CWs are easily obtainable by anyone who plays the game, particularly at pawn shop prices.
As awesome as this is, its just not practical. I mean nothing stopping the user from pawning the item all over again if they got one.
I think it would be a great idea to empty the CW pawn shop, since some of those items have been in there for years, but I can see how people wouldn't like others just repawning the CWs for "free" CSC. It would be cool if there was a way to make the CWs that came from the free shop unable to be pawned again, but I have no idea if that's feasible. As someone who does not buy CSC very often I like the thought of helping players who normally don't have the means to buy CSC own CWs, but I can also see not wanting the same user to get all the CWs just to repawn them. Maybe if a CW was given out from the free shop the wait time would be increased before another item could be picked.
I am for the idea of emptying items from the pawn that have been there for years, but I'm unsure the free shop is ideal. I feel like some of them sit in the pawn shop because they aren't the style that most players are looking for and would be repawned which wouldn't really help. Though, like others, CWs are a luxury that I only splurge on once a year after buying CSC with sP so I get that it would feel nice to have a non-CSC way to get some, but unsure that there's a really great way to do that and not create some other imbalance in the system.
Would definitely like to hear some more ideas about reducing pawn though! Seems like it's a worthy discussion to have.
I see no reason to empty the CW pawn shop. It's not even available to buy from for most of the year.
Unless free shop CWs were somehow made un re-pawnable, I agree with those who think it would be bad for the CSC economy of the site.
While I like the spirit of the idea, I have to echo the idea that most would be dumped right back into the pawn shop.
Deleting items that have been stuck in the pawn shop for 5+ years is probably the best idea but maybe to please everyone give them a last chance by offering them for the last time at slightly over the pawn price and deleting them if they still haven't been bought by the end of the sale. Give them a seperate "last chance" tab or give them a seperate color or symbol meaning that it will be removed from site.
I disagree with emptying the pawn shop just for the sake of emptying it. For starters, there was a big uproar the last time it happened. But also, while most items that are continually sitting in pawn will be likely to keep sitting there, I do occasionally see really old items pop up on WLs that I know I've seen in pawn before. Maybe they're still there, and maybe they're not, and maybe it was several years ago that I saw them regularly, but I don't love the thought of intentionally making those already-hard-to-find items even harder to find in the future.
Regarding the free shop specifically, if it were feasible to make those items pulled from the pawn shop worth significantly less (if anything) when sold back to the pawn shop, it might be nice to try and get some of those items back into circulation, especially those that have been sitting a while already. If that's not feasible, then yeah, this just seems like a big CSC generator. If my counting is right and the pagination is cooperating, there are ~5500 items in the pawn shop right now, not counting duplicates. I don't know what the pawn prices' range is currently, but even at something like 25 CSC apiece to sell those all right back, that's 137,500 CSC ._.
