I feel like such an adult today. I bought car insurance myself for the first time ever. And I got a super good deal. So good that my parents are going to switch to this company lmao. Such a little thing, but I feel so accomplished.
So what adulty things have you done lately that make you feel like a real adult? XD
Nice! It always feels good to accomplish an adult task and it actually turns out well. More often than not adulting sucks!
I'm currently fighting to go back to college but so far, I feel like Sisyphus.
Every time that I submit something, they come back with a reason why it's wrong. So far, it's been unverified identity (left three emails and two voicemails), didn't pick a program of study (when the form wouldn't let me submit without picking one) and returning student (oh no!)

I'm giving them today and calling tomorrow for an in person consult because wtf.

I have to call about health insurance today and i'm going to a rehearsal dinner for 2 friends' wedding
I went to work and fought off another bout of existential dread! 😃
I just moved into my own place for the first time (until now have not been able to afford it) and holy moly, after a few days the reality that I now have to learn how to mow grass hit pretty hard lol. Also having to pay for insurance, internet, etc and changing my address literally everywhere is not the most fun thing I've ever done. At least no one can judge me for the fort I made out of all the u-haul boxes. I'm an adult and I'll leave it up as long as I want XD

I did not succumb to the urge to stuff a drunken bridezilla headfirst into an industrial chipper shredder. Instead, I managed to smile politely, then call Security. Let them deal with the vulgar, sloshed, little Princess. Even with over 40 years of practice at adulting, I'm very proud of myself for that one.
Seriously though, some people really deserve a baseball bat upside the head.
i bought life insurance yesterday. grown adult, ready for death.
also washed the dishes.
I closed a childhood bank account I've been meaning to close for years!! Also more generally, I feel like I'm actually getting on top of things with an organisation system that works for me. Feeling positive about uni next semester :3

I properly labeled and organized some craft supplies yesterday! Which isn't much tbh, but I feel so adult getting stuff organized and sorted and labeled and stuff. Now if I could just figure out how I want my furniture to be organized so I can figure out where to put shelves, I'll be doing really good. XP

Added money to my emergency savings account, I consider that adulting! saving money for a rainy day.
I finally went to the doctor on Monday, and my partner is going to the dentist today! Health has been on such a backburner this past year, so I'm glad we're finally able to slow down and tend to our needs. <3
I finally got around to adding a beneficiary on my life insurance after getting reminded to by my union rep. No spouse or anything, so I added my brother.

I need to call my doctor's office to schedule my yearly checkup, I just set myself a reminder for tomorrow morning when they're open. I've been making it through a lot of every day life challenges. Yesterday, I invited my parents and my aunt over for dinner, since they recently moved to the town I live in and do not have many other friends. Since I was going to be working until 5 and they wanted to eat around that time, they kindly offered to prepare dinner...in my kitchen. But I got my kitchen and all my dishes cleaned up after they left. Then, this morning, I had to wake up at 7am so I could get to work at 8am, and I noticed my dog was chewing at his arm like he had a flea. He reacts strongly to fleas, so one flea is a big problem. So, I had to walk him so he could relieve himself, wash him (I found and removed one flea!) dry him, scarf down some breakfast and run to work (I live only about a 10 minute walk from work)

I rearranged the layout of my living space and cleaned out some old things to donate/throw away. Yay productivity.

I've been preparing for a move that will take place in mid-December, my first ever step towards independence lol. Right now, my main task for that purpose is sorting through all of my stuff and determining what to pack for my new place, what to leave with my family, and what to give or throw away.
Oooof, can super relate to this! I just switched car insurance (found a better rate elsewhere) and also finally scheduled myself an appointment with a dermatologist to try to address some skin concerns on my face... bleh. Two very adult-y things! I'm 28 (getting close to 29) and I still feel like I'm the least adult-y adult there is! :D
