It is my absolute favorite game. But recently, it was freezing up on me. I'd get an hour into the game and it'd make this horrific buzzing noise and the game would freeze. I'd have to restart the system and then I could play again, but it'd freeze up again after a while. It doesn't always make that noise. Then it got to where I could only play for maybe 15 minutes and it'd freeze again. So I took my xbox one into a shop and they cleaned it but didn't find anything else wrong. I got it home and got to play a few times for an hour or so at a time again before the freezing started again. So I deleted the game off the system and reuploaded the whole shebang. It worked fine for a while and then it started freezing again. So I figured it was probably the disc so I shelled out the money to download the digital version. Figured that would fix it, but no. It's gotten so bad again that I can't even play for 10 minutes without a freeze. I've tried everything. I even borrowed a friend's system, but it does the same damn thing. I have no idea wtf else could be wrong.
Does anyone have any ideas? Anything I could try? Has this happened to you too? This game is my de-stress after work and I want it back. T_T
I personally have no experience with Fallout 4, but I've played Fallout 3 which was a mess of bugs and crashes. I googled a bit, and it seems other people do have problems with Fallout 4 crashing as well, so you're not the only one! One person reported that the game runs better for them when they quit the game, go offline and start the game, pause and go online again. I can't test since I have neither Fallout 4 nor an Xbox. It sounds worth a try. Other people suggest it may be a corrupt save file.
It sounds like it might e a corrupt save file, like said, but it sounds like it could also be a potential problem with the hard drive in your Xbox One; how long have you had it?
Aw, man, that sucks. D: I hear you, FO4 is my fave game. I hope you get it sorted soon. The only thing I can think of is if one of your settlements is built too big it can glitch the entire game. But this doesn't sound like it. D:
