It's that time of year again where we get our big fancy avatars put together, and it had me thinking: we annually scramble to earn these skins, but I have rarely seen them implemented into a fully outfitted HA. Well, save for a particular avian strain, that is.

So, I have started this thread to put an end to that constant curiosity, and assist others in lifting their HA outfitter's block. Here, you may share the various outfits you have made out of your hard-earned strains, and help other users that may be stumped. That's right, this is a general zombie outfitting help thread, too!

You may also use this thread to share your layering secrets in regards to these skins. What's a particular set of items that really help your strain pop? Post them below!

Lastly, this first post will be used as a gallery of sorts to keep the strain outfit ideas in one place. If you would like yours to be added to this list, please ping me.

- So far I've only done one outfit per skin with my limited wardrobe centered around witch-themed things. And I have yet to get all of the skins. These are specifically for Masq and I intend to do more with them as time goes on.

Wow, a barnankles outfit! That's a first, and you nailed it! I'll update the list. I'm going to start tucking away the strain tabs into year categories to keep things clean.

I haven't unlocked this skin, but it makes me wonder what the vapors looks like when you add items such as , even if the shade of green is brighter. Maybe it'll work if you throw a over top?

These are outfits I made during Survival while my skins were still developing (I have 3 more uploaded to style-file but it seems to be down)

I also have these two which I made just for playing around, I don't have the skins unlocked yet

and then I have this one which is kinda of... my subeta-sona? idk this is just "default me" for the site, the naughty nip skin is my favorite

Thanks! Someone said ant agony was difficult to dress, so I accepted that challenge by simply doubling down on the fungus. I'd be more than happy to give you a rundown of how I made it, or you can go to the ant tab and open it in the wardrobe!

I'll add them to the gallery if you wish, but I'd like to ask something real quick What strain and stage are the first two? I can tell one is pinkie patch, but I'm unsure about the second. I just wanna be able to categorize them properly. Thanks!

Also, how do you dress up skins you don't own yet? I might look into that for fun.

The second one is stage 2 of Bloodrush, but it isn't even a skin yet so maybe it would be best to not list it :P

here's how I use skins I haven't unlocked yet, you can't save or wear them tho

copy the url of the skin you want

inspect the element on your HA

find the skin URL and edit it

paste the URL and close the dashboard

An easy way to use skins you haven't unlocked is to load/try on someone else's outfit that's wearing the desired skin. You can then clear the outfit and build your own.

The only problem is finding a shared outfit with the skin you're after, so saving your own version once you do is a good plan, in case the user ever deletes the outfit. This thread is obviously a great source of potential skin "donors" though.

's trick is definitely pretty nifty if you can't find an outfit with the skin you need yet, so thanks for sharing that.

This thread is great though, I personally love using skins and it's a real pity you don't see that many HAs using them outside of Survival. I'll try to remember to dig through my saved outfits next time I'm on the PC rather than mobile.

- I'm not sure, I honestly just poke around in my limited wardrobe until I find something that really sticks. Like this current one I am madly in love with now lol on my Vapors one I ended up with a lighter set of eyes, it's just less obvious with the rain streaking in front.

The arm eyes would probably work, especially if darkened a bit. I'll have to try it out, but for now my goal is to make Masq HAs for skins I haven't made Masq HAs for. And to not be too on-the-nose? Such as using Dolly Dreadful for my sweet Masq HA instead of The Baker. I'm also trying not to spend too much on my wardrobe as I have a lot of other goals I'm working on xD and I have enough to play around with, such as using repeat items for other skins and in other combinations. Right now I'm trying to have as much diversity in my Masq HAs as possible, even tho most of my wardrobe is actually halloween/witchy stuff haha. I'm also trying not to make repeat skin HAs until I have done one for each skin for Masq.

[Edit] My limited wardrobe has been teaching me how to hide certain elements with layering so that I bring out the colors that match. I haven't really focused on making HAs until recently, so I'm still a novice. xD

I had others that I apparently forgot to save, but I have my current one, Boobitis, and the one I did for Cryomorph; simple, but I love them.

I think I'll save this thread and add more as I go because I love playing with the strains

Oh I am happy to see a skin thread! I've been trying to work with my recent strain haul.

I really like your (OTO 's) takes on the strains as well - particular sikura and your current HA! the other avatars here are lovely as well (plague's cryo and nidoqueen's barnacles are notably great)
