I have no idea how many times I have had to remind my sisters to go get bit or seen others post that nothing is happening and its been days since they signed up. It is very discouraging especially when you realize how long it will take to earn the skin in the wardrobe. This year was unusual because we had shorter everything but next year it will probably be back to normal so I hope the text becomes more clear.

Yes! Or at least add, Want to speed up the wait: get some bites. Or something.

Support! I don't know if the image that you can toggle on and off says anything about being bitten? But I did see several confused users who didn't know that infection could take several days otherwise, and it's not exactly intuitive, especially if you don't use the Survival forum

i fully support! it'd be nice if there were a link to the survival forums that said something like "go bump elbows with the others waiting for bites, maybe it'll get things going a little faster..."

I don't know why it doesn't mention that, and a forum link would be useful as well.

Thank you for so much support! In all the years that I have signed up I have waited days before to never see anything happen and so have other people I've known.

So I'm not sure what made this year any different, but today when I got on I realized I was infected with something. To make sure I got the text correct I had signed up for an infection literally at the last second and now I'm on stage 5 or 6 of Heartburn. This might prove that you do get infected eventually, though it would be the first time I was infected by waiting, but with the wait time being so long and the event being so short we still need to change something. Either the text so people know getting bit will speed up the process or the time it takes to get infected.

This seems even more important each year as we add more skins to collect which makes it harder each year for new and returning players to ever reach their goals.

Tbh I forget about biting every time so this would definitely be helpful!
