I have been trying the coliseum battle for a bit now and I have noticed a lack of lower level enemies.
A lot of games with a coliseum system offer enemies that are on the easy side that can still bite back thus making those games a pretty enriching. The jump between the Aboxalypse and buttwing bomber is ludicrous. 90 strength and 20 speed? That is a lot to expect when each stat point costs 100 exp at minimum and players start at 10 per stat. It takes a lot of hits to take out Aboxalypse making this a relatively boring experience. Add that to the fact tier 1 weapons are all I have access to and we have a perfect storm for making this really grindy and time consuming. Normally, when you start the first few stats should come relatively easy and as you get stronger the learning curve kicks in and much like pushing a large boulder up a hill the further you go the harder it gets to level up. Right now this feels like I was placed in a crater and I'm expected to climb my way out without any proper climbing equipment. Plus, the Aboxalypse adds 100 health per battle and the exp caps at 10. I would feel having some variety in what I could fight between other enemies would make this much more worth while. First impressions matter. The increase per enemy is very dire and a lot to expect from new players.

My suggested additions of enemies (these are rough so if this is added tweaks could be made):

Stats for these new enemies

Enemy 1 Name: rabid radio Hp: 20 Strength: 5 Defense: 8 Speed: 10 Exp: 2

Enemy 2 Name: spider spotter Hp: 25 Strength: 12 Defense: 10 Speed: 15 Exp: 10

Enemy 3 Name: jolly jelly Hp: 30 Strength: 20 Defense: 15 Speed: 17 Exp: 15

Enemy 4 Name: playful pupper plush Hp: 45 Strength: 20 Defense: 35 Speed: 25 Exp: 25

Enemy 5 Name: magic missile Hp: 50 Strength: 35 Defense: 25 Speed: 30 Exp: 30

I would expect the coliseum would have something for solo players so with in between enemies it'd allow them to get by with a bit of effort.

Edit: the shop seems to offer tier 2 weapons now. My point about the coliseum enemies still stands, however.

I think it would be good to have more variation in the lower levels. At the moment, it seems like the only easy enemies are ones with starting stats around 25-50, and there aren't many that are 50-100. I know that there is usually at least one free monthly challenger with easy stats each year, but those are still rather low, it would be good to see one with starting stats at about 80 or something. The jumps between event challengers are quite large as well, so I can usually only fight one of them.

There are actually a very large quantity of easy battle opponents. While I am in favor of adding more opponents in general, I feel like it should be across the difficulty board.

I'd encourage you to explore some of the secrets on site to unlock more challengers. [Topic=878860]

Additionally, you can look into some of the other battle resources, such as the training center and battle quests to grow your pets.

I run a guide to battle challengers and as you can see by this list they are fairly balanced already. Each tier has about an equal amount of challengers.

Since you’re a very new player, you may not be aware that you can unlock more easy challengers right now. There are secret challengers you can unlock for free, and Cash Shop challengers you have to pay an amount of sP or CSC for (buying these helps to sustain the site). You can find out how to unlock them by clicking on their names in my guide or using the link posted.

Event challengers are balanced based on opponent difficulty. There is usually at least one in each difficulty category (easy, medium, hard, etc) so that everyone has a challenging opponent for their pet.

It might be harder to see from the early battling stages, but battling has a very large range of players and pets that need to be appealed to. When both you start training and growing your pets, you will see that you don’t have to stay in the early tiers for very long.

I don’t think flooding us with more easy challengers would be appealing to the entire battling community as a whole because they will be outgrown by most battlers very quickly. They also have 12 other battling tiers to make opponents for and it wouldn’t be fair to ignore making opponents the other tiers to put the focus on just one.

The solution is to keep growing your pet, you will naturally have more challengers to fight that way.

eeeyyyyy, so, you are not expected to dive right in and start punching the daylights out of opponents the second you spawn a pet here. You are supposed to spend a few days training first. If you quest, you have a chance to get Morty Cards, which when used will award you 5csc for 5 quests that you can spend on a day of autotraining if you want to speed that initial part up. You get something ridiculous like 30-40 stats early on because training sessions are so short. Challengers are exhausted quickly; your steady stream of experience comes from daily battle quests rather than grinding colosseum all day long.

But, yeah, this isn't Flight Rising where you're raising fodder to sacrifice for currency, so you need to be able to grind them to cap fast to drain pets from the game. Battle is a long term goal here.

Oh, and the experience payout listed on the challenger page is for the 10th win. As you fight, the experience reward will increase to the max listed on the challenger page, and then drop to a very small amount for wins 11+.

Also, don't grind Aboxalypse. It's kind of there for the purpose of letting players learn the interface, not so much for gaining experience points

I’m sorry but no support at all. Battling isn’t supposed to be super easy fun. It’s meant to be a long process where you train your pet and level up their stats so you can battle bigger opponents.

There are already a LOT of easy challengers you can battle. The battle system isn’t meant for new players to suddenly be able to be a master battler. It takes time and effort. You just need to train your pet and keep working at it.

I think maybe you are not realizing that the challengers are not listed in exact order of increasing difficulty. All of the "easy" challengers are listed in alphabetical order (aboxalypse -> willowisp) then medium in alphabetical order (cursed irion -> vulty), etc. The challengers in each group have different stat compositions so some have higher strength, speed, health, etc. but other stats may be lower. This is so all challengers are not exactly the same and just higher stats. Fore example, buttwing strength is 89 higher but it's health is 985 lower.

There are plenty of easy challengers, especially with all of the secret ones.

would there be, by any chance, a way to organize enemies by stats?

I'm kinda of the opinion I should not spend money on a free game when I first get into it. I will consider later on.
So my question is, what are ways I can get CSC?

I wouldn't expect a system to make any battler a master upon first enter. All I'm arguing for is when you first start the first few levels (I say around 5) should come relatively quickly. It's much like when you get into something new and when you learn the basics you can surpass some easy obstacles. The harder parts come in quickly and that is when you can start getting into challenging yourself. Right now I don't quite know how to get stronger.

Also, shouldn't easier enemies not be a secret?

They kind of already are. All the lowest (easy stat range) are first, then medium, then hard, and so on. Since there are a variety of stat compositions, you'd have to pick a single stat (strength, defense, etc.) to sort by, which wouldn't actually put the challengers in order of difficulty. Your own pet's stat composition + the weapons you are using + the opponents stat composition determines how difficult it is. It's too dynamic for there to be a single master list of difficulty that applies to every pet.

There is a lot of good information over on the battle forums- why don't you check it out. https://subeta.net/forums.php/forum/35/Battle You can do plenty of on-site actives without spending real money, but you will need to invest site currency. Battling is a long term project here.

I see you haven't tried going past Aboxalypse. That opponent is meant to be easy because it's essentially a punching bag to test weapons. It doesn't hit back. Here is a base weapon guide. Why don't you try putting together some weapons and giving the other opponents a shot. You might be able to beat some of them!

I get that. If you visit the bath house daily you can get 150csc per month along with some other currencies. Regular NPC quests have a small chance to award Morty Cards, which you can use to get 25csc from completing five quests. You can also buy csc gift cards from other players for sP. Autotraining isn’t required though. It’s just stupid rewarding early on for a bit of a jumpstart.

Don’t autotrain level though- level determines training time and cost.

Hey, your account is only a couple days old and you’ve made 2 suggestions so far with things you’d actually have a better answer with if you’d have checked a quick guide. Or posted in the https://subeta.net/forums.php/forum/3/Help-amp-Questions">Help & Questions forums

There’s definitely a lot of depth with subeta, and asking questions and poking at guides is a good place to start.

It actually seems like your problem is the slow level increase. Battling actually is just one way to increase your stats. The best way to do that is going to be at https://subeta.net/explore/train.php">The Training Center where you’re able to increase your stats.

After a couple of days training you should be able to beat all easy and some medium challengers. And then the gradual ability to defeat tougher challengers increases from there.

To answer the original suggestion, we do get new challengers all the time 2 per month at a minimum as of late. There is also a complete list of challengers that are unlockable to you if you follow the guide posted. It’s an awesome guide and she does a really good job with it.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions regarding battle stuff check out the battle forums :)
