The Strain Tracking topic lists Bulbous in 2014. The Wardrobe names the skin Bulbous. The Volunteer Infection program doesn't have any skin called Bulbous. The ones for 2014 are called Glutinous, Armor, Space, Smile and Erubescent.

zombie skins each have two different names which always confuses me and idk why it's like that but bulbous is erubescent. with the 2014 strains you can go the traditional route and get bitten or you can use a vial to get the first stage immediately which for bulbous would be the bulbous vial

From what I remember, the staff gave the new infections a name and then players suggested new names for them which became the official ones. The Strain Tracing thread doesn't give both names for 2014 and the Volunteer Infection Prgram doesn't give both names for some of them either. :(

The VIP has "hint" keywords for the strains instead of using their official name. I've never seen an actual reason for why that is, but it made more sense to do IMO in 2015 when the VIP was new and the majority of strains available already existed (for the fun of figuring out which is which I guess). I think it's just sticking with the prior tradition of making the official names the user-created ones at this point
