So personally, I have a few pets with a specific theme that's deciding for their treasure chests, which books I read them, what food they eat etc.
Over time every now and then I've fed my themed pets the wrong food. For example, if I were to accidentally feed an ice-themed pet a fire food item. Or maybe if I decide to switch its theme, the foods eaten won't go with the pet anymore.
It's kinda minor but I really wish there was a way to delete food from a pet's list, the same way the battle leeches can take off battle stats. Perhaps with an item like those leeches, or a pool at Shengui Guo?
Since we allow stickers to be removed now from that permanent collection, I support this. Some sort of ipecac castor oil vomit pill that deletes the targeted food and some random others, because you never know what's coming out when you eat something wrong.
Yes, it has been Suggested before.
Also, sometimes pets get read books that their owners no longer want on their list, so a brainwash zapper might also be good, and a feli claw machine that scratches apart/deletes plushies, and a seam ripper or dermestid beetle that eats/deletes beanbags.
This would be great, though I'm not in favor of the deleting random things. I'd be pretty pissed if I lost a 50mil item.
I wouldn't mind if there were a "hide this item" toggle option, where you could choose whether to display or not. But also not in favor of deleting items especially if they're collection based.
Edit: A "hide this item" option could also work for people who need to read to pets for intelligence but don't want all those books showing.
Would love a hide this item option.
ohh fully support a 'hide this item' option instead!
I'd love a 'hide this item' option. Especially since so many food items are also achievement ones.
I wasn't paying attention once and fed my older snake a 40mil item. Worse than that, it was an item I really wanted and has been on my wish list for months now (added after I realized what happened). I legit don't know how I did that or why but it happened and it sucks ass.
I fully support this idea!
I like the "hide this item" option since that would allow you to display your pet how you want without interfering with achievements and issues of that nature.
Deleting is iffier. You could delete the same cheap food and "re-feed" it to your pet to up your gourmand achievement? Or a cheap book to read over and over again for INT and APs? Deleting would somehow still have to count the item as read/fed/still in collection, even if it doesn't show. Which is why a "Hide item" option seems better.

I support "hide this item". Putting extra customisation control in the player's hands only sounds positive to me. I'd imagine implementing it isn't too difficult, either.
:dmg:light: Please ping me. :dmg:light:Heads up I am moving this to the pets subforum. There is another idea there about the cleansing pools, however if this is more for the hide an item then it would be technically different.
Full support for the "hide item". c:

I fully support a “hide” option. I fed my first pet a few random foods before deciding on a theme for them, and I’d really rather they weren’t visible.
I like the hidden item option for books as well as food.
I would love to be able to re-theme several of my pets food choices. Only gross food for the graveyard pet, or spooky food for the nightmare one.
Books would be lovely to be able hide unwanted subject matter, that had to be read for ap, or job progression. I would love to have read only astronomy/star themed books to a pet, but there aren't nearly enough of them on site to maintain the theme, and still progress in the space job.
