We have a pure black cat named Twilight who lives with us. She is 15. Her health is kind of deteriorating, but she's still hanging on. She hates me, but my hubby, her original owner, can do no wrong. She loves him so much! We also have a tabby/white cat named Boots, but he lives in my parents' house because we are only allowed one pet here. He is almost 17!! And fairly healthy other than very fat and arthritic. He's such a sassy old man cat, too. If you scold him, he will "laugh" at you while looking right at you. I miss that old man. I get to see him every once in a while but it's not often enough :( I love him so much. I have been his mama since he was about 2 months old.

they both sound absolutely wonderful! I hope you get to see Boots again sooner rather than later, he is lucky to have a mama who loves him so much :) his laughing reminds me of something one of our birds does, where he'll cause Mischief and Chaos and when asked to explain himself, he just crouches low and chuckles nefariously to himself. it's so hard to stay upset with a pet that can do an evil laugh...

I used to have 2 bettas, very spoiled and chubby bois. One was yellow and blue while the other was mainly red with white/blue streaks in his tail.
